Although I would happily buy some beer bundles from future Tony in that scenario, so I guess we would win either way. And by the way, the Bioware bundle and the KoA upcoming deals are great! It will be interesting to hear if sales for the Bioware bundle are large or not, considering the recent unfortunate events concerning Origin's Reddit experiences with promo codes. But it should be highlighted that the new Bioware bundle is a nice little price drop, as previously the DA1:U + DA:2 were selling for $10, ME1 for $5, and ME2 for $5. Now you can get all these huge and awesome (or still very good in the case of DA2) games and save $5! |

Would have picked Amazon regardless. Working under the EA umbrella is just not sensible if you have other options, especially much better options available. |

In the end it came down to the relationship, but I definitely don't regret my choice. If I'd chosen differently I wouldn't have had the opportunity to build this awesome community with you guys Cheers, Tony |

Oh, speaking about episodic content, any news of a Walking Dead promotion? The lowest I've seen it for was $15 during the summer -- seems like the stage is set for a $10 or $7.50 price drop soon.
Counterpoint: gaming buzz indicates that they are really knocking the story out of the park so they may keep the price at a minimum of $15, at least while they are still releasing episodes |

I wonder whose baby they sacrificed to make that happen. Anyway, I am in for the Doctor Who games and maybe for Amalur. I'll think on it. I really wanted it on Steam and really didn't want it on Origin. PS - I still have not forgotten about 1C or Strategy First. |

Counterpoint wins here. I wouldn't expect anything below $14.99 until the fifth episode comes out at the earliest and probably until Season 3 is done airing as well. So maybe Christmas. |

Do you know if the Oct 30 date for NBA 2K13 is for sure?
Any more news about the NFS pack? |

To point another view on it, a guy that started at the same time in school as me and we became good friends, he was/is the biggest Warhammer fan I have ever met. Dude lives for Warhammer. He was beyond pumped for Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning MMO (this was like 5 years ago when it was still in dev). When he graduated, he was offered a job by Mythic, but turned it down because they were bought out by EA and that was about as close as he would get to working on a dream project for himself. You just don't want to work for them regardless of position. I know some people who still do and god it makes me depressed when they talk about work. As someone who once was a dev for EA, I rather be a janitor at Amazon. |

Can we STOP putting EVERYTHING that I already own on sale? Thanks!!! BTW - that's an amazing deal and EVERYBODY who is missing that STUFF should buy them. ALL of those games do range from GOOD to AMAZING. |

Of course, if you are part of the more lucrative full-freight or pre-order crowd you have been getting shafted by EA's DLC and online game code practices for some time. But I'm part of the market that tends to reap the benefits because otherwise we just end up renting or buying used so we get by without paying much. And dev-wise, EA has had a terrible reputation for the last decade. But I think that's common with all the major publishers who happen to not be Valve and Blizzard. I read somewhere, however, that because they're so beloved and infused with talent the company culture turns you into a workaholic anyways -- it's more of an internal thing rather than a management driven thing. What's interesting is that I've never heard anyone complain about working for Rockstar or Bethusda so I guess they must be doing something right. Or they have terrifying lawyers with excellent non-disclosure agreements |
