Yeah I skipped pretty much every side quest in PT2 and just blazed through the main quest. Now I'm running through all the side quests in PT2.5, it's nice all the mission rewards scale to lvl50.

Yeah, I didn't do my homework and didn't realize that was the way to get quest items to scale to 50. Missed out on getting the Law that way, but I can at least get my Order shield at 50 for now. Plenty of characters to do it with.

So this corrupt save data glitch only happens if you played co-op before right? I won't dare play co-op even local for a while so I should be fine.

Although I did lose my Soldier save data for borderlands 1.
I beat the game and some how most of my saves on hdd were wiped. I had a backupfor bl about 2/3 through the game so rebeat that and then played all the dlc. When I tried to play during this past summer with other characters, I noticed my soldier save was gone . A low level sniper (~3) save was still there...


I really think BL2 should have come out THIS month. So many glitches/bugs as well as some poor game design changes (inventory space, UI, tutorial dialog popups, vehicle controls, etc). The story and writing were much better but the actual gameplay mechanics didn't feel as fluid.

The glitch only happens if you're playing with someone who has modded their save and you die when in fight for your life mode. You'll know your save is corrupt when you aren't able to respawn and if by some chance you don't trigger a quick save dashboard if not you're SOL.
But it also seems you're sol either way because eventually you will die you've probably already hit a quicksave and said glitch is already on your profile from my understanding.

I just found out about the law & order combo a few days ago. Those are two missions I didn't skip sadly. Anyone want to dupe a lvl 50 L&O combo for me? Lol

I know I can still farm the law from the sheriff boss but I think the order shield is only available through the quest right?

I haven't done any side missions on my true vault hunter yet I'll do it later.
A good relic piece I've found from pirate dlc also from a side mission is getting health when you kill seems better than 5% better loot.

Yeah, Order only comes from the quest. I'll toss mine over to whoever needs it once I get it.

the loot relic is bogus. A guy modded his on the pc to have 100% find rares and all it did was take all the white guns out of the game and replace them with greens. There were no changes in blues, purples or oranges dropping any more frequently. I stopped using mine after reading that, actually it seems like after I took it off my rare drops increased.

Yeah, since reading that I just roll with my 4.5% xp bonus. Has anyone found any with a higher percentage than that?

Hey guys is there a guide somewhere on how to do the duping weapons thing? I'm halfway through my first playthrough I should be able to dupe in that playthrough right?

Duping is easy and can be done anytime. You need two people to do it (can't be done split screen). The person receiving the items needs to host. Both of you need to meet up away from a save tower. The person doing the duping needs to drop the items to the ground and quit straight out to the dash( bypassing the save). The second player needs to just stand completely still until the first player is completely out of the game. Once they're all the way out, then pick up all the items. That's it

EDIT: One other question: the whole "farming" bosses for special drops and whatnot. Do you just go where they are and fight them and then after you beat them do youy exit the game to get them to respawn or would exiting the area and coming back in work to respawn them?

Wait - I dupe split screen with a second profile - it's not an xbox live paid profile just a normal profile - and I use that profile as my mule and use it for duping to give to other characters on my main profile. Has it changed where you can't dupe like that anymore? I haven't duped anything in a week or two.

*edit* but just to add - I dupe the way you describe when I'm online with my nephew.

Oh I didn't know you could do it SS. Did it work that with on the first game? I always thought you couldn't dupe in SS.

If the ever do patch the duping, it can easily be bypassed by using a USB drive and using a save off of it. That's how I used to dupe items in sacred 2. Btw, I have a ton of modded items and pc only swords (modded into the Xbox game) for that game (if anyone is interested).

Still working as of a few mins ago.

In BL1, both host and guest could dupe when online.

If guest was giving the item, guest would drop item and dashboard.

If host was giving the item, host would drop item, guest would pick it up and run to save pole (making sure the save symbol appeared), return to host, drop item, and dashboard.

Have tried duping as guest in BL2 and it works. Haven't tried as host yet.

Wait, what's the deal with this? I just finished that mission last night. I had no idea you had to keep it open for some reason.

I think you just have a higher chance of him spawning during that mission. This is the first I've heard if it also. That's actually the mission I was doing when he spawned for me.

I don't remember if it worked in one, but I've been duping in split screen as well.
