Wow! What a comeback in this series by the Giants. I just hope the Tigers aren't out of sync from the off time. Hopefully they are rested and ready to go. C'mon Detroit!

I just got home from game 7 (left the stadium about an hour after the game, holy shit long muni and bart ride, then the almost 2 hour drive back to Sacramento). Friend called me at work at 1PM and told me to tell my boss I had to go because he got awesome tickets (Holy shit section 129 row 16 right where the Giants bullpen is) as a birthday present to me (officially 27 as of 2 hours ago!). Drove to Heyward, got there at 3:45pm, got to bart, got to the park and into our seats right before first pitch (We skipped about a thousand person line because he got into a motorcycle accident about 2-3 months ago and had to take the disability entrance that wasn't really a disability entrance).

Sorry, this makes no sense, I'm still pumped up, lets just say I've been to about 100-150 baseball games in the last 20 years and this one was by far the best one.

Happy birthday dude. What a great birthday present.

Really glad the Giants pulled off the win.

Makes this World Series a helluva lot more interesting to watch!

Let's go Giants!

Being from the St. Louis area I have to say I'm not surprised the Cards blew it. St. Louis teams seem to do one of a few things. They win like the Cards did last year, they have the lead only they end up blowing it or it is a sweep. In this case they blew it. I hope to see the Giants win the WS as it would be a little easier knowing they put the Cards out. Hell I think I'm the only one in this area that knew this would happen after game 5.

The Marlins have fired Ozzie Guillen after one season.

Carlton Fisk was arrested in the middle of a cornfield for a DUI.

I take back what I said about this season being a total waste; at least I got to see the Cards go down in flames. Sweet, sweet justice for last year.
Old 10-23-2012, 05:14 PM   #887
WOW a lot of Cards hate in this thread.
Old 10-23-2012, 05:43 PM   #888
I'm indifferent on the WS since I don't have any care for either team, but if I had to pick a winner, I would go with the Tigers. I will take a set rotation over starting a series off with Zito and Lincecum/Bumgarner/Vogelsong on three-days rest. But it is the World Series, you never know what can happen.

BTW this is how wet we were celebrating the win!

Heh, Verlander unhittable, not according to a Panda.

This game was crazy.
Old 10-24-2012, 11:50 PM   #891
Damn, Panda hits 3 homers, what a game.

Huge win for the Giants.

what a start to the series...hopefully the rest of the games keep it up.

and a big HAHA to Carlton Fisk, I met him when I was 9 or 10 at an event and he refused to sign a baseball for me, along with several other young kids. er

I think the Tigers were still waiting for game 1 to start. :(

^No kidding. It was like they forgot to show up.

Three more outs until the Giants are two wins away from a second ring in three years.
Old 10-25-2012, 11:10 PM   #896
Detroit is still waiting for the series to start.

I don't know where this team came from. I don't think anybody had them pegged to win the title before the season, and I know I didn't pay them much attention all year, but they're showing they definitely deserve to win.

Most teams that are in the World Series are not ones people would've thought won in the beginning of the season.

Great pitching tonight by Bumgarner.

Will be tougher in Detroit but nice to see the Giants take care of business at home.

I'm not really afraid of going on the road, the Giants have been the best team in the majors on the road. I'm torn though, I want them to win it A S A P, but I want them to win it in front of the home crowd.
