You might have to wait till release day to see the offer show up online. My advice is to buy it in-store cause getting your $15 gaming coupon is a hassle online.

Does anyone know if the 10% off Friends and Family coupon actually works on video games or hardware?

It specifically states excludes video games and video game hardware on the coupon, but knowing Kmart, they probably just programmed a generic 10% off coupon that works on anything.

Im curious if I buy Halo and get the 15 dollar coupon but Halo remains sealed, can I return it and still use the gaming coupon? Or if I use coupon first then return game.

They are not stupid. You think you are the first to think that up? They won't give you full price back for the game if you have used the coupon.

Just so you know, the kmart rep that use to come here has said they have a dedicated team hired to catch people that does this and have been successful at finding them.

I wish they had a team dedicated to making sure people got refunds properly. I doubt they go after people because I believe the coupons are deactivated when you do a return.

Hassle is an understatement.

I would be very very very cautious when it comes to buying an item with an "award card" from Kmart.com (award card is their .com version of gaming coupon).

I have placed orders in the last 2 months that were supposed to come with $15, $30, and $50 award cards and I haven't received a single one. I have placed several calls and each time been told that I have to e-mail a @sears.com customer helpline e-mail address.

Each time I do I get a form letter response customized to my case promising me a follow-up response in 5-10 business days. After two weeks go by I reply with a nice put "WTF" e-mail and get another response saying that the case is being escalated for review.

Then nothing... I've called and each time I get an apology and it must have been forwarded to the wrong department... etc.

Right now I'm still waiting for a final resolution and this is after a dozen e-mail and a dozen phone calls over the last two months, each professional but more aggressive then the one prior.

To make it worse I placed an order for a Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle (came with a $50 Gaming coupon) and had a SYWR online coupon for 15% back in points and they still haven't credited me the bonus points.

Thankfully I took screenshots of both but even with the screenshot they are still sitting on their thumbs.

I have nicely explained to them that I have never ever had to jump through hoops like this to get a promotional gift card from Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon etc. and that this is extremely unprofessional for a large company and that I wouldn't be doing any further shopping until it was resolved....

and yet I still have to call those jokers every week to get a status update.

If you guys are planning to buy at Kmart then check your SYWR account for coupons -- mine shows a few of them for Kmart, best one being "get 10k pts ($10) on a $45+ purchase"

PM'd FIFA 13 today - it took a little time over the phone with Best Buy, but ultimately got it to go through relatively hassle-free.

Real easy....as long as you go before that date, just present your card before they ring you up at the register and tell them you want to use the points you have.

+1 I usually hand them the card and tell them "I want to use up my reward points" -- they'll scan the card, the items you're buying, apply the points and give you the final total

Check the coupons page to see if you have any Kmart spending offers -- print out the best offer and take it with you. $59.99 - $10.45 = $49.54 so look for any offers that your $49 purchase would qualify for so you get more points to use in the future

if you're on the east coast, Sears deposited $10 into your SWYR accounts to aid in the recovery process, and it's valid until 11/8/12, so that's where it came from. It can be used on anything -- I got $10 worth of soda over the weekend with it.

Just checked my reward coupons and found a "$10 off $50 in electronics" coup. Does Kmart consider video games an electronic or are they going to be all nitpicky and reject my coupon?

Double check the coupon -- I had one of those, but it was for Sears not Kmart (not sure if you can use Sears coupons at Kmart)

My Kmart coupons were "get $x in reward pts for $xx purchase amount"
