Hmm I'm from the playstation camp and would like to play Halo. Seeing that 363 said they aren't porting it to a computer I think I'm gonna have to end up picking up a Xbox. For those familiar is this a good deal ?

343*

If you're really rooted in the PS camp though (as I am with my 360, all multi-platform games on 360, only exclusives on PC and PS3), then I'm not all that sure it's the best deal based ont he size of the hard drive. I have a 250 GB HDD on my PS3 and I've used maybe 30 GB, only because of mandatory installs (which is never a requirement on 360). I now regret having bought a PS3 with such a large hard drive, because there's no way I'll fill it prior to the Orbis. If you think you'll use that much space, good deal.

Te Gold membership is iffy. Maybe you'll only play Halo online for a month, and never touch it again. if you use it every month, good deal.

And will you be using a second controller? If you will, good deal.

It's a great bundle, generally speaking, but good for you? Depends on your gaming lifestyle...

Based on my foray into PS3 gaming, I'd say, don't shoot for the top of the pile, there's more value there, but you probably won't ever use it, which translates to money wasted.

If you don't want a Kinect, you can get the 250GB Skyrim/Forza bundle at FS/BB/Dell/EB for $249.99. If you're not interested in the included software you can always sell/trade it to go toward Halo 4. It's a solid deal; probably the best available at this exact moment.

If you want the actual Halo 4 system bundle, it's $349.99 on its own. I don't think the extra stuff in the Costco bundle is worth the price.

Just to add to that, Forza 4 is on the trade 2 list for both Futureshop and Bestbuy to get a $60 gift card. (Skyrim is on there as well, but unfortunately the bundle includes a downloaded token for Skyrim, not a physical disc.) You can instantly trade Forza 4 and one other game for $60 toward Halo 4.

The only thing I'd recommend is waiting another month till boxing day. (you've waited this long anyway!) I'm sure you'll see the return of the $100 xbox 4gb system. Toss in a cheap laptop harddrive or 32GB USB key and you'll be good to go.

Yeah, the package is pretty disappointing. There is only 1 insert in the case and that's for a 14 day gold trial. No booklet with nice pictures or anything. Just the insert and the 2 discs.

The DLC code comes via email and is supposed to be emailed by FutureShop soon.

Ahhhhh
t'was a time when I was a lad and I had a collection of my instruction booklets. Separate pile, out of the box. Sega's, Nintendo's, Super Nintendo's, and some friend books too lol

When I was bored I would go over and start reading the books, that decided what I would play that day

I really miss the old xbox manuals, they had the controller layout on the back page. I'd leave it on the coffee table and glance at it when needed. Best feature.

I got the wallyworld deal. I preordered and got the skins, but also an extra month of live and 400 points.
Then when I went to pick up the game, I got an extra 400pts and month of live.
Sweet deal!

Just a heads up incase anyone is still looking for a copy of the games. Supposedly the extra month of live and the 400pts are a wallyworld exclusive when you buy the full copy.

Got mine as well. Except my Locus helmet code is showing 'this code has already been used' :S. Emailed FS support, so hopefully they're able to send me a replacement. Kind of stupid they'd send the same code out to 2 people.

Got mine Tues. and codes today.

No manual is just society's trend of giving you less for more - behind of the guise of "going green".

The first game I remember with no manual was EDF Insect Armageddon on X360....that was over a year ago so the shock of getting nothing over for me. I guess soon enough everything will be digital. Sucks but that`s captolism - the rich have to make more money somehow.
