Geez, Need for Speed Most Wanted for $30? The game just came out a week ago. I was thinking about picking that and Borderlands 2 up during Gamestop's inevitable B2G1 on used, but at this rate, it'd just be better to get them at Best Buy. Only thing is, it'd be a drive to get to one... Decisions, decisions.

Can anyone confirm if Wal-Mart will price match Black Friday prices? Someone mentioned it in the K-Mart BF thread, but I haven't managed to find anything saying such- and even if it's true, I'll need a printable source to inevitably prove the uninformed employees wrong.

That Old Navy promotion is going to result in a flood of Mario Wii U games being dumped on ebay.

They always have in the past. Here is the official policy, which includes the often mistaken no physical ad required wording:

http://corporate.walmart.com/ad-match-guarantee

I was totally unaware of this. I'll be sure to print out a copy of that to bring with me. Thanks.

I know it sounds terrible but last year when I THOUGHT I bought a PS3 bundle, it wasn't until Monday a few days later that I realized we didn't pay for the PS3 because the girl didn't ring up the system! So, as soon as I found that out I had called the Target we purchased it from, to talk to a manager. Mind you this Target was somewhere in St Louis, and I live in TN. He was of course upset to find that no employee checked our receipts, however, he ended up giving us like 10 or 15% off the price for being honest.

So we had to buy a gift card at our local store, call it in to him and he ended up using that information and mailed us an adjusted receipt. The Target in my town would of not had that happen as they have it setup to check everyone's receipts on the way out of the store. Of course most will think, is this guy dumb? No, the PS3 has a serial number and I wasn't going to jail over a 200 dollar product.

Microsoft usually doesn't do sales on AAA games released in November. Same as how Activision never puts the latest Call of Duty game on sale.

So, in other words, it's a prediction based on nothing specific, correct? You probably should have stated that as people may assume you're an employee or someone actually in the know.

The Sears ad has been posted on bfads.net, and it's a big disappointment gaming-wise.

Man, what a mess. Props for being honest, I wouldn't have been sure what to do in that situation. I mean, the store is so far away, and I wouldn't want the person who rang me up to get in trouble. But that's a $200 system, and I wouldn't feel right in the least inadvertently stealing it. You did the right thing.

Also, small world. Cookeville, TN right here.

You didn't notice your total was $200 less than it should've been?

Based on what I SEE. I'm not pulling this out of thin air. And I did say this list is not exhaustive and not 100% gauranteed and apparently I am in the know if I can provide this info. Geez, try to help some people out and get skewered.

The only thing game-related I saw in that entire ad was a Mario pillow for $8.99.

Props to you for being honest. Most would not have and in this situation I am not sure I would have either. Sounded like you had to go out of your way and it wasnt really your fault. If you didnt hide the item and it was clear that you expected the item to be scanned and rung up I doubt they would have been able to go after you for theft. IF they ever saw something and noticed the issue the worst they would do is try to contact you and ask about it.

I am so glad that thus far all the black friday stuff is looking like a big pile of "Meh". Not having to fight any of the craziness is something that appeals to me. Hopefully the Cyber Monday stuff will start to look a bit better, though.
