That's odd. You shouldn't need both. You need a data plan and talk plan, you can only get unlimited or no texts, but both seems odd. I'm on my brothers family plan so I'm not much help with this stuff.

Edit - mobile share sounds like the goofy tethering stuff but I'm not sure.

I think I'll drop by an ATT store tomorrow on my day off and ask. I'm OK with $70...$110, not so much.

Thanks again! Looking forward to your review.

Make sure to post your impressions when you're done. I assume you'll like it though. I should really watch it again. Levitt was great in it.

Uhm, hello? I did make a Cell Phone/Plans thread.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/...d.php?t=331202
(which promptly vanished off the face of the earth)

I'm in the same boat. I'm finally upgrading my cheap, do nothing AT&T Go phone.
I'm cheap so I just went with a no contract virgin mobile phone
Kyocera Rise for $79.
Went with the Unlimited data, unlimited text, 400 mins per month $35. No-contract.

They had cheaper plans with more minutes and less data, but much lower quality (and cheaper) phones.
Wife pays about $90 a month for unlimited everything on Sprint, I believe.

I think that there is a way to get that plan for $ 25 through virgin mobile. There's a thread about it at slickdeals.

I couldn't find it. This is the time of year i start checking slick deals daily, too.

Saw a thread that target will have the same phone on sale black friday for $29. (Oh well.)
Also a thread that Wal-mart will have 1Gig data plan for $19. But you had to buy the phone at wal mart. (?)

Price: $379

I've seen worse, and the price is obviously telling you that this isn't a super computer. Games that are a couple years old should be able to run on it perfectly fine.

Work doesn't schedule me for a whole week. WTF? Is this common in retail?
