Credit card validation only fails when you try to buy something with it. So if you don't try to buy anything with your CC, they wouldn't run the verification check... that's my thinking.

Keep in mind that these were bought on a price mistake for ~16 cents in the Russian steam store earlier today. I doubt steam will revoke the games, but there's always a chance.

Confirmed. I just purchased it and activated the key on Steam.

Edit: I got it for $2. Apparently, right after I ordered it went up to $4.99. It seems like this game is riddled with pricing problems lol.
