Don't be too sure. When this thread started, my Sam's had it at full price, but it recently went from 298->238->148

Waiting... watching... at a distance (online) before I pounce. My prey hasn't budged an inch since I started tracking her, but soon... soon she will slip and I will have my trophy(ies).

If only Sam's Club had price checkers through out the warehouse so you could see the price without an employee. I wonder how locked down the Symbol Guns are at Sam's Club because you could use it to check the price? Both clubs in my area leave one laying around in movies or electronics area. I use the same Symbol Gun at work and the pricing app doesn't require password but the Quick Sap app does.

My Sam's Club still has the same 3 that was probably from launch for $289.

Good luck with that.

I got in on that Target deal and I have been enjoying the Vita. Firmware 2.0 makes it even better.

So it finally hit $118.71 today, and the VERY gracious folks there at the Folsom, CA Sam's Club pulled it out for me. It's a display unit with some overall wear & tear, but some extreme wear around the bottom right of the unit (where they attached the security wire). Of course, the other items in the bundle were in mint condition.

Needless to say, I passed.

Just posting this in case anyone else was eyeing that same club.

This is on paper a much better deal than Target's considering it has 3G, but I don't think the plans for 3G is cheap either. So, it's basically like getting the Wifi option cuz I don't want to pay extra monthly fees to use 3G

I still am not convienced about Vita as a must-get system and not sure what it can do that I can't do already, but if it's $118 I will buy it. Not $199!

You obviously haven't read much, if any, of this thread as many other members have gotten the same deal or better, myself included.

Put down the bong and read a few posts before thread crapping.

Patience pays off. Since this thread was started I have been checking samsclub.com everyday to see if the price would drop. It was $289.91 for months then it dropped to $185 a few weeks ago, then $148.71 last week and today $118.71.

They had 3 systems last week but since then the tag was updated with the $148.71 price. They had been tagged $339.xx in store even after going on clearance but only had 1 left so rather than waiting for another drop, I figured I better buy it at $118.71.

If your local Sams Club was at $289 when this thread was started it might be worth checking online to see if dropped there too.

I wonder if it drops depending on how many units are left. My locations is still siting strong at $28x.xx but I know there are at least 5 still sitting in the cage.

I came to the conclusion that the really cheap ones were demo models. I found a good deal on one that was reasonably close to me, but it was the display model. I think I want to pay well under $100 for something that has been constantly turned on and messed with for the past year. Even then, I would be hesitant.

Also, you can get used/refurb from Cowboom for around $130 that have probably been taken care of better.

If these are new in box, $118 is definitely a steal.
