Okay. I see some of them now; probably need to clear my cache. Although I don't think some of the ones that didn't show up had white space; they're rectangular (width > height), such as the ones that we have for games primarily found on Steam.

example:

Either way, I appreciate all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into what we see here. Cheers.

Good point, I forgot to mention there are other reasons why box art is declined:

- For some reason, people have been submitting box art that was lifted from the game page. I.e. they were trying to replace the box art with a copy of itself.
- It's a problem that sometimes games don't have box art (mainly downloadable games), and as a result people often submit screenshots or other "homemade" box art.
- Sometimes the image quality is too low.
- A lot of PS3 downloadable games get box art submitted with the text "PS3 Game" stuck on the top. Not sure where that's coming from, but I think I'm right in thinking it's not an official Sony graphic?

Was there a change made to the box art queue process? Today I uploaded a few and instead of the thumbnail showing, it just says "Image Pending Moderation" which apparently is itself an image.

For example, I added the game Waves and uploaded art: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/...&gameid=517541

Hopefully this will be read by someone from the site but what I really want (beyond an Android app for the site), is a full-blown game collection and wishlist Android app that incorporates this database. It would be so helpful to look at when I'm in a game store! As long as I'm dreaming, UPC scanning to add to the wishlist or collection would be boss. An Android tablet version would be great too!

Would a moderator please go through the pending Box art, it hasn't been done in a while

Thank you!

edit: um, sorry to be a bother, but do the Game page images and Collection images update independently? The Borderlands 2 (PC) image in my Collection is still the old version.

They take a while to update.

It doesn't seem like the CAG Database is being updated anymore. There's no listing for Wii U games, nor have box arts for some recent releases been added yet. Did someone report in sick or something?

Also, is there going to be a Wii U forum added? Or what?

If it follows the way they've handled other consoles, it'll take over the Wii forum instead of getting its own. I'd prefer to see Wii, DS, and GBA get merged into an Other Nintendo Consoles forum so that 3DS and Wii U could get their own and the same for PSP/PS2 with Vita getting its own forum.

That'd be more fair I guess. But I'm not really seeing any action when it comes to Forum merging or the Games Database, which is why I raised the concern.

How imminent is CAG 3.0?

The database is being reworked so it will no longer be reliant on user submissions.

I don't think it's necessary to have "other _____ system" legacy forums as they tend to not get much traffic. Less forums = easier to navigate IMO.

Then why not just combine them into one Forum for each manufacturer?

Yeah, that's probably what I will do.

There are a bunch of Box Arts in the queue, if anyone has time to go through them; thanks!

Getting this message/page when trying to upload box art:

You do not have the GD Library installed. This class requires the GD library to function properly.

Is this an issue on my end or CAG's? Tried it with both Firefox and Chrome: same result.

Guess it's a CAG 3.0 issue, but still wish a lot of games were in there that aren't. Maybe it's a suspect search function, maybe it's not really in there, but I'd say about 10% of the time I can't find a fairly common "next gen" game to add to my collection.

If you have trouble finding a game in the search, use this in google and then type the name of the game after it. For example, for COD MW3:

site:cheapassgamer.com/forums/games call of duty modern warfare 3

That should help you out and determine if the game is really in the database or not.
