Great show! Was funny to hear Shipwreck say he finished the WiiU. Every always tries to point out the huge launch game list, but all the year-old ports with nothing/barely anything added just pad it.

I didn't understand Cheapy's $9.99 Microsoft store madness panic. If there was already a thread up that he saw on his phone, what was the problem?

I would like some Half-Minute Hero swag is possible, please

Damn, Wombat, Amazon would not give me $4.99 back when they dropped Battlefield 3 from $29.99 to $25. The rep went away for a long time, and came back and said that is against their policy. So, yeah, contrary to what Cheapy said, Amazon actually kind of sucks for price matching/adjusting. Any given rep is YMMV as Wombat discovered, but in general they do not do that sort of thing any more.

I tried explaining to them that I could just buy the lower priced one and return the other (with Prime it probably wouldn't cost me anything) but they still refused. I thought I'd save us both hassle and them some expense, but no, they wouldn't budge. So, yeah, not happy with Amazon over that...

And listening to you guys it is shocking how many deals I missed out on despite researching BF for days leading up to it and being at the ready on the computer when things started. I had no idea Brave blu-ray was only $9. I was looking at using some of the Amazon instant video credit that I have but it is freaking $14.99 there - I just can't pay that knowing it was only $9 on BF .

But yeah, even though I missed out on the best stuff at the MS store, I did get quite a bit from there. I'm staring at a stack of about 20 right now. Some are for me, some are for my son for Christmas. The rest, I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do with, but I just couldn't pass them up. But I missed Star Wars Kinect (along with Skyrim, Amazing Spiderman, Lego Batman 2, and Star Wars Old Republic CE). My best purchases were Fallout New Vegas Ultimate, Dragon's Dogma, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and Witcher 2.

Just listened to the Sports Champions 2 bit - I bought that. As Ship said, the first one was pretty good. Since the second just came out at $40 and Amazon had it for $10, that was a no-brainer IMO. One of my best overall purchases from BF, actually.

Cheapy: Love the McKenzie Brothers reference, you hoser! I wonder how many of your younger listeners missed that one. My cousin and I used to make our own Great White North audio recordings back in the day .

Great show.

How about some follow up on your Fitbit usage? I got a Fitbit One and a Jawbone Up and I'm comparing them. Hard getting used to the bracelet, but the Up has some better sleep features and a slightly better app.

Enter me into your contest please!

Another great show.

All I picked up for me on BF was the $20 Borderlands 2 from Amazon.

Would drop $$ on a year of PS+ if Sony would drop those Vita memory cards. My 4gb card is full and I dont want to deal with the hassle of moving data around for a new game. Just stuck with the games I have until I break down and buy that memory card.

Would love a new watch.

Good show, guys. I had a bit of a rough Black Friday personally, missing out on a lot of the lightning deals I wanted. The MS store came through with Forza, though!

Please enter me in the Half-Minute Hero contest. Thanks!

Dang, I got in on a lot of deals this black friday but it sounds like I missed a lot too. I'll have to pay more attention on these deals.

Put me in for the watch as well.

If it hadn't been for the TV I bought I would of definitely bought that Vita Bundle. Well anyway I get to enjoy smacking people with purple dildos on 32' of glory. I do wish I got to that 10 Microsoft thread earlier , I didn't get anything only DC3 for 14.99 which is still good.

Another good show.

Regarding Destiny, the story sounds interesting, but the idea of it being inspired by an mmo (and how im not impressed with their storytelling in general), it still has me a lil weary. But if they can make some changes to the mmo formula and work it into a great thing for whatever this game ultuimately becomes, than it could be special.

Had the exact same experience. They wouldn't budge and told me to rebuy the game and refuse the original delivery but I just left it alone.

For me, the price drop happened prior to delivery. I could still flat out cancel my old order. That may have been the difference.

Great show.

The most intriguing feature for me on the wiiu is playing console games exclusively on the gamepad with the tv turned off. Does anyone know the list of games that support this function? I know Nintendo isn't promoting that feature heavily, but I think that's one of its best uses.

I would like to be entered for the watches.

Best ending to a Cagcast ever. Wombat's " you" had me laughing uncontrolably at work.

Also, I'd like a watch.

I really enjoyed the black Friday talk seeing that this was my first year ever braving the crowds (it still sucked). I'm glad it went well for CAGs.

Would really love a code for Half-Minute Hero. It's been on my wishlist for a while, I just haven't pulled the trigger. Also much love to the Lonesteban and Call of Podcast.

Sure, I'll toss my hat in for a watch bundle.

I believe the reason downloadable titles are treated separately is a matter of resources invested and scale. Games starting out of the gate at $4-15 MSRP are never going to be able to compete with the production values of $50-60 titles which are mass marketed in stores and have X-times a higher budget and much greater exposure. A $10 game which ends in 3 hours may be fine and is expected, but $60 game ending in 3 hours would receive a lower score. It's the main reason CAG review scores are a recommended buy price and not a letter or number grade.

Pitting downloadable titles against retail release tiles is like pitting a junior high school basketball player vs. a college basketball player. The best of the best JHS b ball player could theoretically hold their own against a majority of college players, but it is such a lopsided disadvantage that 90% of the JHS players would get slaughtered.

So I say, keep downloadables in their own categories away from disc releases until you do best overall game and if a downloadable game happens to be better than a retail release, then so be it.

Cheapy you should just power through episode 5 of Walking Dead. It takes about 2 hours or less to finish. It's pretty much wraps things up.

Half Minute Hero bundle please.

I thought the wal-mart deals on videogames were great. Got to the store early to get a good spot in the games line and picked up dance central 3 and dishonored. I am really surprised that wii-Us are readily available, there were 2 white ones in my Target. Anyways great episode as always
