This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Similarly, a rep saying something is not the same as it being a fact or the truth. Video game companies far larger and more established than Tommo or Blaze make claims all the time about future releases and inevitably, many of them never come to be. Buying this unit on the basis of future releases is a leap of faith and there is a good chance there never will be any future releases, at least not licensed from SNK. As I've said all along, I have no problem with people buying or not buying this thing. What I do have a problem with is people repeatedly making misrepresentations and creating wishful claims about what it is or will be. |

Word of advice if ordering from Target online.
Order only if you are absolutely sure you want it! I found out the hard way today that Target online has a BS Cancel policy that states you are only allowed to cancel 30 minutes after placing an order online. I spoke to Supervisors, etc... and none would budge. Was told I would have to refuse shipment or return the product to store for a refund. Problem is - they are charging my card and then need to refund the money... terrible way to do business and I am really surprised a big store like Target holds their customers hostage like this.

FYI, Toys R Us now has the Neo Geo X joystick (but only the joystick, strangely) up for preorder. I mention this because they also have a B1G1 50% off deal on accessories, and it applies to this stick. So if you add two to your cart, the total is $75 plus tax (shipping is free). I'm debating cancelling my extra stick from Amazon and ordering two of these from TRU, for less than $80 shipped. Here's the link:
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...FindSrc=search Also Walmart briefly had the stick (and only the stick) up for preorder, but it almost immediately went "unavailable". Links in the OP have been updated with all the places I could find for the system and sticks. |

I am looking forward to getting the system. Like previous posters have said, it is completely worth it just for the included games. I previously owned the home system, and games were $200 a pop. Games like Sam Sho 2 are great. I'd buy it if only SamSho 2 was on it. I think it depends on if you were a gamer back then and can remember pumping quarters into the Neo Geo cabinets. What I am interested in is the one game on an SD card, Ninja Masters. It may be possible to look at what format the game is in, and then produce your own game roms, which you can play on the system. Imagine taking all of the existing roms floating around, copying them to an SD card, and then playing them on the console... If that is possible, the value of the system will skyrocket. Hmm.

Grain of salt (via GameFAQ user): "so I talked to a GameStop support guy about the NeoGeoX. I noticed that it is now listed as "Not Available", so I expressed my concern about my Preorder. He said that at this moment, it is definitely planned to ship at the listed date (around December 18th). According to him, it's now listed as "Not Available" because their initial allocated supply has been exhausted."
Sold out indeed. Unless the GameStop employee was lying along with all the fake best-seller lists. Personally I wouldn't buy the X just for the sake of hacking it. I doubt it would be so easy if they planned on releasing individual cards. But who knows. |

Enough to get it on the top-selling lists, and at minimum enough to justify stocking it in the first place. Enough sold to cause a delay for production to catch up. Who knows! It's legitimately sold out no matter what kind of negative spin you'd like to put on it.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Tommo+-+...ogeo&cp=1&lp=1 The arcade sticks by themselves are still available at TRU, and you can use the B1G1 50% off deal for accessories (I preordered two for $78 shipped, $75 plus tax): http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...FindSrc=search Other than those places, it does seem to be mostly sold out. |

so I pulled the trigger and cancelled my preorder at Gamestop. right now I just can't afford it.
I don't believe it will be a hot seller for the holiday season. Kids these days want a iPad or a Nintendo Wii U. so if I see it at Best Buy in a few weeks, I might buy it. |

Strange how TRU only carries the joystick and no console. Don't understand that philosophy at all. |

As for your other points, it's not "sold out" as it can still be purchased from Best Buy and Target. Amazon and Gamestop.com are no longer taking preorders. Could they have reached the number of units they anticipated in their allocation? Of course. Do we know how many each store decided to lock in with Tommo? Nope. As for the best seller lists, it's not a conspiracy, they are marketing tools designed to push preorders. Sometimes a post on CAG is enough to push a product to #1 on Amazon. Best Buy is not exactly a hot bed of preordering on-line, other than for games that come with various bonuses. The fact that the X reached #8 on their preorder list at one point is interesting, but not evidence that this will be rare or hard to find for MSRP or below in a few months. You have never held this thing in your hands, so I have to question why you are such an advocate for it. It could be total garbage or it could be great. You don't know and nobody really knows at this point, so please refrain from all the hype. I think it's fascinating that you're now posting on the Neo-Geo.com forums and claim not to be a fanboy. You're right, you're not a Neo Geo fanboy, you're a Tommo/Blaze Neo Geo X fanboy which in my view is far worse as you have no idea if what you are schilling for is even any good. Should I lock in my preorder at Best Buy for this now, today, the 4th or do I have more time since it's been pushed back until mid/late December?
I have about 65 dollars worth of reward zone coupons that I'll put toward the set. |

The Neo Geo Gold X bundle is still available from Target and BB, and the standalone joystick is still available at Target and TRU (and you can take advantage of the B1G1 50% off at TRU). As I said, if you've decided to go ahead and already have the credit, you might want to just pull the trigger. I ordered two sticks from TRU with the B1G1-50% deal, and the system from Amazon. |
