I don't think the keys expire. So once you redeem the codes you can just wait to use the keys until you have a character that needs some purples.

Stopped redeeming these after the last update reset my rank and knocked my keys down to one fom 40. Heard I'd get my rank somewhat back, but the keys are gone for good. Makes following these jackwagons kind of useless.
