Pretty happy with my 10k this morning. Will post official results when they're up, but the finish line clock was at 56:20 when I crossed. Forgot to stop my watch for 10 minutes or so and walked around grabbing food and swag with it still going. But I edited the time down the the 56:20 and distance to 6.2 and that came out to:

Distance: 6.20 mi
Time: 56:20
Avg Pace: 9:05 min/mi
Elevation Gain: 211 ft
Calories: 770 C

Had no issues other than feeling a bit nauseous the last half mile when I tried to pick it up some, and got a blister on a toe which is odd since I've been running similar distance/pace in the same socks and shoes for a while.

Official results from my 10k yesterday have been posted.

Chip time: 56:06

42 out of 81 in the male 30-34 age group. They don't have an overall breakdown posted unfortunately.

Edit: Overall results up now. 321 out of 1276.

Good job on the 10k.

No run for me today ( had a streak of 23 days going) Because of a Kidney stone. Hope I can get back to it tomorrow

11 miles today in two runs. First one at 9 am (6 miles) went well but felt like crap on the second 5 miler. Figured out that I hadn't really eaten all day because of a dentist appt. around noon. 25+ years of running and I am still making rookie mistakes.

Heads up (as this is CAG after all): I found some of the running-specific Champion brand shirts on a Target clearance rack last night 70% off, so it was about $6 a shirt. I haven't used any other brands so far, but I'd swear by the one I've got now, so picking two more up for half the cost of just one at regular price was a nice find.

Haven't been able to run lately unfortunately, so I need to get it going again.

Yeah, those are great. I have 4 short sleeve ones, 2 long sleeve ones, and 2 long sleeve compression shirts from theirs I wear under the short sleeve ones if cold enough. Great shirts for the prices. Also got a long sleeve tech shirt from the 10K last week that I'll wear too (about the same as the Champion ones, just a little thinner.

Thanks! Wish it worked at the Decatur location, but I'll venture OTP to save $20. Needs some new shoes relatively soon (approaching the 300 mile mark on my current ones, so should start rotating in new ones soon).

Much better run today. Did a hillier 3 mile route (twice the elevation gain) as my crappy run the other day, and still knocked over 2 minutes off the time.

Distance: 3.01 mi
Time: 26:36
Avg Pace: 8:51 min/mi
Elevation Gain: 188 ft
Calories: 367 C

Ran 25:52 for three miles last Saturday. I haven't been able to run much lately due to some minor injuries; I got bad shin splints and somehow hurt my neck. Felt great to run though. It also got really cold around here, which is perfect running weather for me. Hope to get back out this weekend.

Passed on the Zombie Run thing that's going on here this weekend. I found out it's 1.5 hours just to drive to it, which just isn't worth it. Registration is already $50. I'm not dropping what would amount to nearly $100 and several hours of my weekend for a novelty run.

Ran 8 miles yesterday and the last two longer runs I've had some tightness in what I believe my Achilles tendons. Looking online most say that it is painful, sore, etc. I don't have any soreness but I had a snapping sensation while walking downstairs for most of the morning until it seemed to loosen up. I'm going to do some additional stretching before and after running to see if that helps and I will talk to my aunt (who is a PT). I really can't let this sideline me too much since I'm prepping for a marathon.

Saw this and was instantly reminded that I need to go running. Had the flu about two weeks ago then injured myself at my martial arts club, but I can't wait to get back to it!

Depends on the person, their age, and fitness level.
