This deal takes advantage of the Free $40 GC with purchase of two selected games at Best Buy this week.

If you price match one of the games (for example Halo 4 for 39.99 at Target) the package deal will still work and you will get the gift card.

I would be willing to bet it works when you price match a second game (for example, Forza, Hitman, Dishonored and others that are 39.99 at Target this week)

I personally bought Halo 4 and Far Cry 3 for $100 but you can probably score two games and a $40 GC all for only $80!

Does the system prompt the cashier for the gift card? In other words, can just I go in and price match two games say Halo and Hitman and the system will force the cashier to give a gift card as well.

Mine won't because on the receipt/in the computer it clearly shows a $20 GC attached to each game.

Yes that is exactly how it worked when I price-matched Halo 4. Once the cashier totals the sale the screen prompt for the ift card will appear. I didn't have to say anything past the price match.

Until someone confirms this easily working with 2 price-matched games I might consider that situation ymmv.

I've recently asked my Best Buy if they PM other retailers "deals" or "offers" i.e. Buy 1 Get 1 50% off, B1G1 Free, and to my surprise they do. Is that YMMV or do all BBY's honor this type of PM?

However, they don't PM gift card offers unfortunately.

Only game I want I dont have on that list is hitman...will wait til its 19.99 new in a few months

On my receipt Far Cry 3 is 59.99 and Halo 4 is 39.99. Each game receives the prorated portion of the GC. 24.00 to Far Cry and 16.00 to Halo.

If you're you're talking about going into the store to price-match a previous purchase that probably won't fly. Try a return and re-buy.

Best Buy is not supposed to match "bundle" pricing so your example would be ymmv.

Yes, definitely considered to be "double-dipping", especially to BBY managers who can smell it a mile away... normal sales guys wouldn't care. I even had one outright say that he disagreed with his manager (his manager wasn't within earshot of course, but I think he was being sincere). Good luck to everyone who tries it!

Hmm, I wonder if it's even legal to deny you the gift card since the system more or less forces the gift card, they can't deny the price match in their policy can they? I'm might try it out, if it works then I will be happy, if it doesn't, then oh well, the deal is already solid as is. I'm thinking I might get the Killzone trilogy controller bundle. I just price matched Halo 4 at Target from my preorder and Black Ops 2, so I have an extra 30 bucks to work with.

Got BB to price match amazon $33 each for 2 copies assassins creed 3 clerk said I get gift card but when manager came to price match he said I don't get gift card since I pm with amazon. Manager left and clerk gave me the gift card anyways.
