Bigger name games, would mean higher console sales. I'm not going to rush out and buy a console at release just for one title. I do understand Nintendo is very careful about the releases of these games, because they do have to make money, year round. This system was released without a single game that would have you playing for days and days without getting sick of the game.

Nintendo has a fan base though, that would support their company, regardless of what they chose to do, no matter how bad they are deprived of games.

Twilight Princess was a launch title for Wii and Link to the Past was a "launch window" title that came out about 3 months after the SNES.

NSMBU is the first launch Mario game since the N64, and it's fantastic.

Wii had Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword is only a year old right now, having another Zelda game now would just be a rushed piece of shit.
