It's still next week's DOTW, it's just not in the OP and has been largely overshadowed here by the upcoming holiday specials.

When do prices usually leak? I bet the LEGO games are going to be 800 MSP, but I want to know now!

I'm gonna start taking a shot every time this question is asked.

3. Do you mind not getting 100% everything in a game and just having fun doing the best you can? (even if it means not seeing the true ending/final levels?)

The level of difficulty is brutally hard but tolerable with multiplayer. If one player dies they float in a balloon bubble until another player saves (touches) him. If you're playing single-player, ever single cheap, stupid, frequent, rage-inducing death means starting the albeit short level over.

I had a blast (and a laugh) playing it co-op, but I know better than to touch the game on my own.
Rayman Origins? I didn't think it was all that hard at all in single player. I didn't 100% it, but I think I easily could have. The only thing that could have possibly caused problems were the speed runs.

For the daily deals, if it's like previous years, more than likely we won't know the prices until the day the sales go live. Please be patient.

Got bored, did a little OP tweaking. Insignificant nitpicking that you may safely ignore:

* When listing a substantial amount of DLC for one particular game - examples currently in the OP including Tropico 4, Saints Row the Third, and others - I don't think it's entirely necessary to preface every single bit of content with the name of the game it accompanies (Tropico 4 - Junta, Tropico 4 - Modern Times, etc.) just because the header usually is sufficient clarification. Yeah, someone will inevitably need a seemingly obvious point clarified, but I don't think it's ever been a problem in this regard. I am aware much of this stems from copy-pasting from XBLDB or Xbox.com. It's not a big deal at all, I just prefer keeping it light wherever feasible.

* One thing I don't agree with is slipping in remarks over the merit of DLC (or whatever else) in the OP itself, as has been done with Tropico 4 currently and other content in the past. I don't dislike it enough to edit it out, but I do think those matters should be left to discussion in the thread and not decided on by whoever wants to edit the OP. I do think Metacritic links are informative and worthwhile (Natural Selection II fiasco aside...), though of course this is not always viable for DLC. I also totally support including links to better/comparable deals in the OP, as being cheap is in the spirit of the site.

Just my two cents Keep on keeping on, fellow OP editors.

I was going to get TWD on disc but heard horrible reviews containing lots of bugs the download versions haven't encountered...the retail version is under heavy attack..maybe I will get the downloads then

also thanks for updating the OP Cornelius!

i don't consider myself to be that good at video games, i did not find rayman to be overly challenging playing single player

i would say the difficulty was fair, nothing compared to the difficulty of donkey kong country returns

not much of a sale if it's not less than 1200 msp
nothing has been officially spoiled but someone found some pages on xbox.com listing those sales but with current prices I assume most games will be between 33 - 50 % off

Anyone know if Warp has been on sale recently?
I really hope it goes on sale, it's a fun and charming game to play that's also sometimes really difficult.

Well, every single collection of XBLA games on disc does not allow for installation of the games. After this many years of XBLA game collections coming out, it's not a huge surprise that the latest one conforms to the rest of them.

But did you just beat it, or did you actually do everything in it? I can't say for sure it's the hardest platformer I've played, but it's definitely tougher than average.

*cue angry rebuttal from some cranky masochistic older gamer who wishes everything was brutally hard and thinks modern games are lazy*

Should I get the Darksiders II: Death Rides Pack? I don't have the game, but I do plan on getting it eventually and I was wondering if it's worth it?

Indeed it was on sale last month for 400MSP.

Cranky? Not really. Masochistic? Probably. Older? Mid-30s probably makes that a yes. No angry rebuttal, but Rayman Origins has just moved closer to the front of my backlog.

i tried both ways with my triple pack disc (limbo/trials hd/splosion man) and it kinda works. each game is listed individually in my library and can launch on their own (the triple pack also has it's own entry in the library as well). but this only works when the disc is in the tray. the console still has to verify the disc is inside. once the disc is ejected, the games revert back to demo versions.

Of course, it is one of the finest 2D platformers in recent memory, so it should be on every platformer fan's must-play list.

That's not true, I have a copy of an microsoft XBLA compilation that can be installed, and when you put the disc in you don't have to Play the Disc to play the games, they show up in your list of XBLA games like normal with the rest of them.

Which one is that? I'm not familiar with it, but it sounds like an exception rather than the rule.

I've got the XBLA disc that came with Sega Superstars Tennis in a holiday bundle a few years ago, and I've been messing around with it tonight. The disc can be installed to the hard drive, and all the games on it show up individually in the games list (note: this still happens whether the disc is installed or not), but the games still play from the disc, and the Xbox still spins the disc up when the games are loaded, which defeats the whole purpose of installing the disc in the first place.

I tried this with both Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy. Downloaded the trial versions, inserted the disc, then the full versions showed up in my games list. But the disc started spinning up when I loaded the games. Ejected the disc and the games reverted back to the trial versions and played off the hard drive.

I own the full versions of Pac Man CE and Uno, which are also on that disc, and those still played off the hard drive with the disc installed and in the machine.

So yeah, I don't think the trial thing works, at least not for this particular disc.

More Kinect Party pricing details revealed

Also, I've been playing the game for a few days and it's quite a substantial improvement over HAT. However, the Facebook photo uploading doesn't work yet and the controls/voice commands for photo-related things are not explained as well as they could be. Still, it's great that they have those things since sharing the silliness will add a lot of value to the game.

(Also posted this in the general Kinect thread.)
