I read somewhere that Lego Lord of the Rings was going to be 75% off sometime before Christmas. Anyone here know if this is true and/or what day this might be?

I believe that's Amazon. I'm not sure when but I remember Tony, from the Amazon thread, stated it would be very cheap soon and before Christmas.

It's currently $15.49 for the GOTY base AND the Gods and Kings expansion for about another hour at GetGamesGo.

http://www.getgamesgo.com/product/ci...iv-v-gk-bundle

Also Amazon is offering the base GOTY, G&K expansion, Civ IV and the Stronghold collection for $20.

Why isnt anybody posting in this thread? Haha. Mass Effect Trilogy is already 50% off! At only $10/game, I'm pretty tempted. I've beaten all three games but traded them in already. Such a great series.

Individually all 3 games have been cheaper. I know 1 and 2 have been $5 each at times and I think 3 has gone as low as $7.50.

Can anyone recommend civ 5 + gods and kings for $15.49. I'm a noob to the series. I bought civ 4 like 2 years ago and only played it once. I didn't really have patience or desire to learn how to play the game. I'm thinking about giving it another chance since I always hear good things about these games.

I think that $15.50 deal at Get Games Go for the base and expansion is done but Amazon has both in a pack with Civ IV and the Stronghold games for $20. There is also the big Steam winter sale starting in a couple of days and I imagine it will be a daily deal on one of those days.

As for learning Civ V, I'm not an experienced strategy gamer either but I found it easy to learn. I think they really tried to make this one accessible, even more so than the prior games.

In Civ V you get advisors in various aspects of the game like economy and so forth so if you are ever stuck for what to do you can always see what the advisors say. If you get to the point where you don't feel you need it though you don't have to bother with them. It's totally optional.

Yeah I think I'll grab it from the steam sales. Have a ton of GameStop credit to burn on steam cards haha

Don't know if this was posted yet but BF3 (no premium) is $14. Is that the cheapest it's been?

I think BF3 (base game only) was $10 once on GameFly and Origin.

You can use promo code HOLIDAY20 to get 20% off. Don't see it mentioned. So, Lef4Dead 2 would be 3.99 (and other $5 games). Should I get it? Seems better than the Steam sale.
