Awesome.

Might have to figure out how to cash in my points for a 32gb Vita card.

$79.99 for the 32gb Vita card. Had 4,000 points expiring at the end of the month so I cashed out. Still have plenty of points left over for something else.

It is annoying, but they made the program to easy to abuse they had to do something. That said, you can usually enter more than 3 discs a month but you have to try each day to find when it will happen. For example, here is what I was able to enter in November:
Date Title Points earned
11/19/2012 Arthur Christmas (blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/19/2012 Arthur Christmas (DVD) 15 pts.
11/19/2012 Straw Dogs (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/21/2012 Straw Dogs (DVD) 15 pts.
11/21/2012 That's My Boy (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/21/2012 That's My Boy (DVD) 15 pts.
11/26/2012 The Guns of Navarone (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/26/2012 The Ides of March (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/26/2012 The Ides of March (DVD) 15 pts.
11/28/2012 The Pirates! Band of Misfits (Blu-ray) 30 pts
I was able to enter three disc on three different days and then a single on one for a total of 10 entries. This is on top of entering 10 points a day through the Wheel Of Fortune game (answers here).

Now if I could just find something I want to use the points on

Link your account to the store.sony.com site and use your points there.

I never realized I could log into the Sony Store to use my points. I have less than $20 unfortunately, but between the store and the rewards site I suspect I can find something as we get closer to the end of the program. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I haven't received any emails/notices about the termination of the Sony Rewards program. I really hope it doesn't, as it's been pretty handy earning PSN funds with the PlayStation Visa credit card

If you look at your account on www.sonyrewards.com you will likely see the following next to your points:
Points expiring on 03/31/2013
I cannot be sure that this means the program is ending, but at the least the points being accrued are going away. This said, they could do what many other loyalty programs do and give an expiration unless it is renewed, but with how easy it is to abuse the movie codes I suspect it will either end or be changed in March.

I had about 4k points expiring on 12-31-12, so I got the 32gb Vita card.

From the Sony Rewards FAQ:

Do my Sony Rewards points expire? Yes. However, if you have a Sony Card or PlayStation®Card, an extended expiration date is one of your advantages. Here are the details:
  • If you don't have a Sony Card / PlayStation®Card: You earn Sony Rewards points on a calendar year basis. You can use your points at any time during the year they were earned and also for an additional three-month period in the following year. This means your points from the previous calendar year expire on March 31.
For example, let's say you earn 10,000 Sony Rewards points in 2012. You use 5,000 of your points before the end of December, leaving 5,000 points unused at the start of 2013. You will have until March 31, 2013, to use the remaining 5,000 points that you earned in 2012. And, if you wish, you can combine these points with the points you earn from January to March 2013. At the end of March 2013, your unused Sony Rewards points from 2012 will expire — but any points you have earned in 2013 can still be used throughout the year 2013 and also for an additional three months in 2014.
  • If you have a Sony Card/PlayStation®Card: As a cardmember, your Sony Rewards points will expire 5 years from the end of the month in which they were earned. Points are redeemed on a first in/first out basis, so you have plenty of time to select the Sony Rewards item that interests you most.

oh haha yeah ok, no. YOU have points expiring in may because you just have a free rewards account. I have a sony visa card, and the soonest any of my points will expire is October 2017. The program isn't ending.

Abuse has been far easier in the past, sony rewards is nothing of what it used to be.

Yeah, I just looked into my Sony Rewards points in the FAQs for points expiration info, which was already posted by my2k2zx2. I have a PlayStation Visa card, so my current points don't expire until November 2017.

Really if you have a PS3 it is worth getting a PlayStation Visa card, as you get 10% back on PSN purchases using the card (and 1% back on everything else), plus the current sign-up bonus of a $50 PSN Wallet Credit and a year of PS Plus. Unfortunately for me, I signed up when the $50 credit was the only bonus :/

Vita cards are 20% off, so it's $79.99.

You can link your Sony Rewards account in the checkout process and use your points. If you dont have enough points, you can pay the difference.

I added the ones that were missing to the first post WIKI. I also put the Lawrence of Arabia (blu-ray) in there as well (it is listed twice on the Sony Rewards site so I put it twice as I suspect one is really the DVD).

Thanks. I don't think Lawrence of Arabia came with any codes unfortunately.
