Wondering if anyone had tried any of the Sandra Boynton book apps. My 14 month old loves the actual books and was wondering if people with kids had tried the apps and if they recommended them.

There are 4 apps out right now and they all seem to be on sale:

The Going To Bed Book - $1.99
Moo, Baa, La La La! - $2.99
Blue Hat, Green Hat - $1.99
Barnyard Dance - $1.99

Somehow this stumbled into what is now apparently a code drop thread.

I do recommend these apps. Not only for the convenience of not having to find where the kiddo ran off with the books, but also the interactivity adds to the fun. Considering the cost of the hardback books, worth it at regular price, I would easily recommend at a sale price.

Sonic Jump is the best Doodle Jump derivative I've ever played -- not that I played many post-Doodle Jump. However, I think it does for that genre what Rayman Jungle Run did for the canabalt-style games.

Also, I want to throw out a recommendation for Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3, which I played quite a bit on my holiday travels. It's a damn great RPG, especially for $3: intriguing combat, it's very funny, and they really capture the SNES FF-era audio and visuals. (it's by the Cthulhu Saves The World guys)

Thanks for the penny arcade recommendation, I got a $25 iTunes card for Xmas and was looking for games to buy. I had totally forgot this had come out.

My little one used to love 'The Going to Bed Book', and 'Blue Hat, Green Hat'.
The other ones are also nice, but those two are highly recommended.

Bought all of them for $0.99 each a little over a year ago and it was the best purchase for my son (now 20 months) ever since. He learned how to use the iPad from these e-books! Like your 14mo old, my son absolutely loves the board book versions of these so it was a no-brained when they all dropped to a buck each! Not only are they really fun and interactive on an iPad (universal apps so they work on my iPhone too when on the go trying to entertain my kid) but there's also a built in read-it-for-you feature so when you're tired and the kid is demanding the book, you can just press the read-it-for-me button and snooze while the kid listens and plays with the books.
