I just bought a movie from a member, however, I am curious why the movie "the vow" UV is not in HDX when I used the digital code as oppose to when I bought Hunger Games from another member and that was in HDX. How you do you know if your digital code will redeem an HDX version of the movie? anyone care to help. I am new to this.

Can depend on 2 things typically
- Did the code come from blu or DVD
- studio (some used to only do SD - even for blu - but this is starting to be a rare factor)

I got a better way. The one good thing that Sony dose is make there codes easily identifiable.

If the vow code started with
VNB - then it is blu
VND - then it is DVD

All there codes have a similar set up. If any one has a Sony code ad they don't know what quality it is I can take a look. Or if you have one that dose not say what the movie is, I should be able to figure it out with the first three letters.

Thank you SEAL62505, sleepydumbdude, and dtPUNISHER for providing such great information. Now that I'm up to date, I won't be making that mistake again. I assumed all UV Codes were HDX. But now with all the insight from you guys will help me identify UV movies if they are HDX or not.
