I'm an arcade joystick collector & I enjoy this arcade stick very much although it's very light (compared to sticks nowadays) but then again this is an exact 1:1 replica of the original (with a somewhat similar Seimitsu LS-32 style joystick lever). Overall, it's not perfect but I'm more than happy with my purchase.
I agree, and I think the arcade stick is one of the best (if not THE best) parts of this bundle. I use my arcade stick with my Neo Geo Station games on PS3 and it works great (I even bought two extra ones). The handheld isn't bad either, though I do hope the emulation can be fixed and more games will be released. The clicky stick on the handheld is great for these games.

Granted the games can start running a pretty penny but when you factor everything the real version is the way to go. Even if you had to add some money the real version is the way to go.

I just learned you can't save you're game. I'm just kind of speechless to that. I really don't know what to say other then I think this is the worst clone console i've yet to see. Reminds me of ATgames Sega clones. The emulated music is out of sync and all screwed up.

I've been a big Neo Geo fan for years. I own a AES, MVS cabinet, NG CD and a pocket. It was never an issue for me purchasing the X. I like it. It's looks pretty cool and the screen looks amazing.

I see the Player One Podcast has the Neo Geo X as a show topic this week, hope they don't make me regret putting it back on the shelf, I REALLY like the idea of this product.
Knowing how rare Neo geo systems are, It probably was a mistake to put it back.

Neo Geo systems aren't rare and this is not a "Neo Geo system", it's a Neo Geo branded and licensed system from Tommo/Blaze. I can't believe after how badly this system performed at the very thing it was most hyped to do (i.e. provide perfect emulation outputted to a television) that people are still defending it.

Well, as much as I want to crack this box open and see if I received a lucky 337, I'm about to throw this in a box and ship it back to Amazon. Two things REALLY irk me:
1) No inherent save feature? With a possible save card as an after thought? Right.
2) No game list yet? We're nearly a month in! Market research should have been conducted MONTHS ago. And besides, they should already know which Neo Geo games are popular.

At least I think I'll keep the extra stick I ordered for PC/PS3...

AES systems aren't easy to find in the wild that much. When they're located they can sell for up to 200 dollars and up. Neo Geo X is still a pretty cool system to play with.

For people wanting to read it. I think this is really just halt to production of the limited editions or this is only impacting Japan. Also I would like to add that the manufacturer on their Neo Geo X facebook page has posted this on the rumor: "We will have an official response shortly - there's nothing to worry about.". So I believe it is not true for other regions.

Theere's a comment on the Kotaku article that says illegal stuff was found in the system, including a PlayStation 1 bios. I wonder if that really has to do with halting production.

So production is stopping and there is STILL no game list for cards huh? Didn't think they were ever going to come out...looks like that's about right.

Still haven't opened mine. Debating whether I should return it.

Amazon still has at least 999 of them. Can't imagine it being that popular and I'm sure at this point they're going to drop the price. Decisions.

The best part of this whole bundle was, in my opinion, the replica AES joystick. Lighter than the original, but still with the trademark clicky microswitches. And it works on the PS3 for Neo Geo Station games since its USB.

I think its a bit odd that Tommo/Blaze have not announced any future game cards for the handheld. I'm wondering if any will ever come out really.

For people who are considering a handheld, take a look at the GCW Zero on Kickstarter; it might be a better option. Although I will say the little clicky joystick on the NGX handheld is excellent, and I wish the GCW Zero had adopted it.

Well I just returned mine to Amazon with absolutely no regrets. I'm just going to wait for something better to come along or a price drop (unless they're recalled, and if so, too bad).

To be perfectly honest, all this nonsense of a vestigial PSX bios, no confirmed game list, and the sudden end of hardware production does not bode well for the system.

I think I'll keep the controller I got from TRU though, for PS3 and PC usage.

Wow did not even know about this I sort of stopped looking at Kickstarter after spending a tad too much on there. Wish I knew about it a bit earlier might of put some money in for one but since I have too much stuff preordered at the moment going to wait on this and also my Xperia Play is just as well to let me emulate games on the go but I got a feeling the emulators on this will be more optimized. When they start selling these doubt they will be much above the price point that is on Kickstarter. B

Despite recent “rumours”, the NeoGeo X IS still in production AND there’s more games and updates coming!

For those of you who haven’t got yours yet:
You can still pre-order the NeoGeo X here: http://www.funstock.co.uk/neo-geo-x.

We are expecting a batch of stock next week – the only way to guarantee you get one is to pre-order (as almost all of this stock is now allocated). We had a lot of emails when the console first launched from people who “waited until it was out” and ended up not getting one at all. If you have any questions, please visit our support center here: http://www.funstock.co.uk/contact-us.html

For those of you who have got yours:
It is now certain that there will be more games and updates for the NeoGeo X!

In an official statement from manufacturers Tommo quoted:
There has been a recent rumor about the end of the production of the NEOGEO X System. This rumor is incorrect. Tommo will be continuing to support the NEOGEO X format going forward with more games, peripherals and software updates, as well as more units of the console hardware. The NEOGEO X Gold System Limited Edition Collection Series that includes Ninja Masters, was always planned to be a limited edition product. We are currently manufacturing our final run of this Limited Edition Collection Series and our distributors worldwide expect to have the final stock in April. Given the popularity of the NEOGEO X format, we don’t expect this stock to last long.

We are absolutely delighted with how the NEOGEO X has performed so far, and are incredibly grateful for the support of gamers and we are looking forward to continuing the development of this game platform.

Overall, a great day all around for everybody – if you haven’t got one yet, now’s your chance and if you have, expect more games and updates soon!

Pre-order the NeoGeo X here: http://www.funstock.co.uk/neo-geo-x

Thats good news. I suspected it was just the production stop of the LEs.

Now to more games!
