It shows I have barely 100 points at the moment, but when I look into the details I see the message that says "SYWR Valued Member - 5000 POINTS to use on your $30 Kmart purchase. Valid: 1/27/13 - 2/3/13". Of course this one has a caveat, usually they just give you points without having to spend $30.

Honestly though, $5 bucks off $30 does nothing at all for me. Certainly not worth going out of my way and stepping inside a KMART. Most of the time I don't even bother with KMART when they give me $5 no-strings attached. They would have to pay me even more than that to get me inside a KMART LOL. I have been curious about seeing if any of those bargain games hit $1.99 at my store, although I severely doubt it.
that's where i looked. I ship at KMart maybe once a year (it's almost an hour away) :(

Yeah I got a 10000 Points of of a $50 purchase at Sears. That doesn't really count as "giving me points" Kmart. Assuming it could be used on PSN cards, I could get a decent deal there. But I really don't need PSN money at the moment.

Ha, I got $3/3,000 points period. It just says "SYWR Valued Member - 3000 POINTS to use on your Kmart purchase. Valid: 1/27/13 - 2/3/13".

SYWR points work on PSN cards for me. I can't get them to work on the other gift cards(Store/Restaurant related ones).

Well I'm in the same boat. It's about 30 minutes for me, and near the ghetto mall (when we have two unbelievably nicer/newer upscale shopping centers that are in a different direction, and obviously the latter areas are where I'm doing most of my shopping - I'm not driving into the ghetto unless there's a good reason LOL).

So even when KMART sends me "here's $5, no strings attached, go spend it". I usually just go "meh", and let it expire. $5 doesn't even cover the cost of gas of going out of my way to go to KMART.

I've been there MAYBE 2 or 3 times since KMART gamer ended. With KMART gamer I was going every other weekend. There was actually a reason to go out of my way to KMART. Not so much now.

I found a Halo 4 controller at Kmart this past week for $49.99.
Not only is that $10 cheaper than it's been everywhere else, but it's been sold out everywhere else since Xmas.
Could be an option for you guys with points to spend.

Thanks for the alert! Looks like I have $5 worth of points to use on a $20 purchase.

Same. I don't see myself spending $50 at Sears anytime soon.

Yeah ditto on Josh. I've swung in there a couple times, but their deals have gone away. Nothing like they used to have. They aren't even apathetic anymore, leaving old games out, that hit rock bottom prices. They must be sending them back now.

Ya I didn't say anything about using console for games vs apps, just commenting about Netflix. If someone has a 360 only for Netflix they would be better off with PS3. I'm curious why you think XBL is a better service?

That's exactly what I used it on. I got 5 triple feature blurays and 2 catalog titles all for $4.99 each after U&S coupon. It's 17 films on bluray and I only paid taxes!!!

party feature on live is a big reason. More people use mic's and much more easy to invite random people you meet to games then ps3 have to add them to your friends list. over all xbox servers are better. For me say a 2 gb demo takes me 10 mins on xbox to download and then the same demo same size takes about 30-40 mins on ps3. Servers for some reason are slower download on ps3. I think sooner or later sony will charge for online play could very well come on the next sony system
