The book has been out to a few since last week, & to everyone 2 days ago, knowing the internet & Zelda I think other people would have noticed or said something if other copies had it.

If it's widespread, big whoop, I still found it. But if it's legit im happy.
How exactly do you think it would only show up in yours? Do you think they draw these by hand?

And I bet most people haven't even opened theirs yet.

"legit" ugh. anyways i pretty much guarantee its all of them. not a lot of people are opening their LE so that may explain no one really mentioning it.

I could have sworn EVERY copy has it as the original Japanese one did and DH/Nintendo didn't fix it.

BS. I've returned my fair share of things and gotten price adjustments on several limited editions. Amazon isn't going to ban you.

It depends. I don't know about returns specifically, but I do know they will ban you for too many concessions (contacting CS for issues and getting promo credits and such). I don't know what you mean by price adjustments though. If you just mean their standard guarantee for adjustments sure, you won't get a ban for that.
If you go crazy with returns I also don't know but I imagine they may very well ban for something like that. Like I always say, just don't over do it.

I almost buy doubles of all the super, rare collectible stuff. I have 3 Limited Edition Hyrule books. One sealed on display. One opened to handle and look at. And the third is coming from TFAW which when I preordered, wasn't sure if I would get it or not. So now I'm stuck with 3 LE books! The third one is my investment I suppose... I also have 2 Dead Space 3 Dev kits coming my way. One to collect and keep sealed to one day sell off and make a nice return on, one for opening and enjoying and looking at all the goodies.

I hate the act of flipping so much, but now that I think about it, flipping is just a short term investment. As long as you don't horde and buy 20 copies of something where pthers get screwed out of the product. It's no different than those people who bought star wars figures in the 70's or 80's, kept them sealed and sold them on ebay for 20 thousand bucks.

I'm rambling...
20 people buying 1 to resell is the same as 1 person buying 20 to resell.

I'm saying, if you're going to be judgmental, show a little consistency. It's not easy, is it?

Not if the 20 people bought 1 copy to keep and one to sell

20 people = 40 copies
1 person = 21 copies

I was bored.

Ok, so now even the comic book stores are starting to sell the CE for $250 BS
Anyhow, looks like I'll just pick up the regular edition...

I'm really getting sick of all the flipping talk! Shouldn't there just be a blanket don't ask don't tell policy. We all just avoid talking about resellers in general and no bragging about getting multiples to flip. I thought that was the policy around here anyway... this isn't SD.

I've contacted amazon a handful of times in the last couple months to get adjustments for damaged items. And I return 1-3 things per month on average I'd say. Once in a blue moon they email you saying, "We've noticed you return a lot of stuff, is there anything we can do to improve your shopping experience?"

Yeah, I always hear about people getting banned, but I've returned a lot of things due to shipping damage, and have yet to receive any type of email or contact or banning yet? I think if someone was to be banned, you'd have to be pretty shady about it, and possibly trying to strongarm your way with the CS to get something you don't deserve. Just my opinion, but you know someone won't come on here and tell the complete truth in those cases

I don't even know WTF I just did, but I received a confirmation! $100 for 2nd day air, but saved $25 for the standard shipping...

Let's hope this is legit?

Well keep it up and you'll be banned I bet. Are the emails from cis@amazon.com and signed by an "account specialist"?

Anyway more on topic I'm confused by these Collectors versions from other countries. Are they exactly the same as the NA release? If so that's no good if there were only supposed to be 4k made.

It's most likely an algorithm in their system to let them know if you are profitable or not. If you aren't and causing trouble, then you are banned (as well as any other accounts somehow tied to yours).

And no warnings.

Surely they wouldn't ban someone who uses the service a lot and utilizes their very simple CS system? If anything they would provide some sort of warning I would imagine. Mine also came dented but I got it for free after using Shop With Points so I'm not sure they can adjust my pricing in any way.

I'm not worried, nor should anyone be worried about asking Amazon to compensate for their shitty shipping.

I may even be dead as I have other people on the same account who may have killed me had they been banned.
Well it sounds to me like you weren't threatened for returns, but for being shady with the multiple users on your (I assume) Prime account who frequently took advantage of the free shipping.

I got one this morning. I went ahead and payed it even though I was able to get a copy from my local comic book store. It comes out to $26 for shipping. So the total is around $82.

Couldn't agree more. Considering Amazon is a company that began (mainly) selling books, they should know better. They're clearly not dumb - based on how they track prices/demand/etc - so they should have some idea of what might be worth packaging nicely.

I don't think anyone will be upset about a $5 paperback with bumped corners, but a book that has "Limited Edition" in the title and retails for almost $80 that arrives damaged is certainly worth mentioning. Perhaps if enough people comment on this they'll eventually take the hint.

Ok, so I made the leap and bough the standard edition, which is on sale (saving $10!!!) and now I don't have to go comic store to comic store searching for it.

Received both confirmations for the above purchase and the CE book, which I pre-ordered/purchased on Amazon.de.

Crossing my fingers...

I know what I am talking about. You can choose not to listen to me. It doesn't change anything in my life. I could write a book on this shit, though, so don't tell me what you "think" you know.
