You bought the wrong version I think. There is a steam and non-steam version I think.

You got the pack with mixed DRM, not the Steam DRM one. There's 2. This is the Steam pack:

Idiotekque said to always advise people to beg for a coupon, so try to beg for a coupon. Lots of folk have spares.

If you don't have NBA2K12, go for it. If you do, then hold off. 2K13 PC hasn't been patched, and the MyCareer mode has problems (among other things). Who knows when 2K will get around to patching the red-headed PC version. It took a while for 2K12.
