Hrrm, Black Friday Bundle or this one. I just found a BB bundle a few days ago so I can still return and grab this one.

Amazing that Sony and Microsoft can still charge that much for their hardware this late in the game.

I can't speak for microsoft (I think the 360 is long overdue for a price drop) but I don't know how you can justify calling this PS3 overpriced.

Let's factor the gift card in for an overall value of $270.

How much do you think a reliable 3D Blu-ray player, with WiFi, smart apps, and a 500GB internal hard drive would cost?

Oh yeah and it plays current gen games... and comes with a year subscription to a service that gives you free games...

The PS3 launched at $599.99, while the xbox 360 premium 20GB edition launched at $399.99(Microsoft's console is also 1 year older since it launched in 2005). If you look at the current MSRP prices, the PS3 has dropped about $300-$350 while the xbox 360 only dropped $100-$200.

A PAID year subscription that gives you FREE games...meaning you have to PAY to get access to them. Also Blu-ray players are certainly much cheaper now. As for this being overpriced, I think it is, not because of what the ps3 gives you but the build quality is much cheaper than previous ps3's yet they charge more rather than dropping the price. Lame.

Maybe they are reverse mind effin' us by lowering the value today and upgrading it sunday with the 100% bump so it looks like they're awesome.

PS3 might look like a little bit of a better deal if I didn't already have a blu ray player. It'll be nice if they'll both just drop the price rather then adding more and more shit to keep the price the same.

I'm guessing they dropped the prices in anticipation of the 100% bonus. I was looking at Far Cry 3, which had a $30 value yesterday with the 50%. Now it is $14, so with 100% its $28. This has been the theme for me over the last couple months. Generally the 100% trade is actually about $1 to $4 lower than the 50% trade

It might be worth buying for $20 (if this is true)... I think it's a possibility that it could hit $10 later this year, though, with new consoles coming.

Yeah, that's usually the case. However, if you get a cool employee and a cool manager willing to do the necessary overrides, you can come away with some pretty slick deals. During the holiday sales period, I noticed that many retailers were willing to be quite flexible with their price-matching policies. Not so much now that the holiday season has passed. Still, it doesn't hurt to try I suppose.
