I think what's going to happen is that he is going to symbolize all of the unspoken frustration that many people have with black crime in American cities and are glad somebody is doing something, anything, about it. In Atlanta specifically, according to the uniform crime reports, blacks represent 54% of the city's population but commit 99% of the homicides, 95% of the rapes, 94% of the robberies, 84% of the aggravated assaults and 93% of the burglaries that happen in the city. The mainstream will ignore Darrien Long unless the mall cop "goes too far" and kills someone. I fear long will be killed first, though. Last edited by Spokker; 02-02-2013 at 01:39 PM.. |
