BTW, I had my own craigslist stupidity moment the other day. My friends and I had been talking about craigslist experiences and the general stupidity we've encountered. Well, during the middle of the 4th ing quarter of the Super Bowl, this guy calls me up on my google voice number tied to my phone so I picked it up. He wanted to know about some building/construction supplies/material that I had left over from a project that I had a craigslist ad up for. Yes I paused the game but I have people over and I'm in a bit of a catch 22.

I'm thinking to myself, "yeah a potential sale is a sale, but this is the mother ing fourth quarter of an amazing Super Bowl. This guy doesn't sound gay yes I know it's a stereotype to think that gays don't watch team sports, and that all hetero guys are into football...and that you can tell the sexual orientation of someone by the way they sound on the phone...but I had a few drinks in me so that's what I was thinking , so why the is he calling me right now?!?"

So we agree on a price and I try to quickly get him off the phone after promising to shortly send him a text message with when and where we can meet for the deal, not at my address thankfully. So after I send him the text, I accidentally send a follow up to him that was the following commentary that I meant to send a group of friends:

"WTF, some guy just called me about a Craigslist ad I got up. A DUDE who was looking for construction material. Didn't sound gay at all. Yet during the 4th quarter of the super bowl he's calling me about this. ???"

Anyway, met up with the guy the next day no problem. He didn't mention the text and I just pretended it never happened.

Hmmm, honestly I kinda like it. Price isn't so horrendous, either. Yes you are paying a premium, but I could probably sell those games and the dogbone controller for $40 (hell, I can sell each of them for $5-10 a piece all day long...and if I recall correctly Tetris 2 with the manual may be worth a bit more, never mind the dogbone) and bring the cost to at most $40 (never mind gas/time) I would be willing to pay for that. Yes it's kinda sorta stupid but something about it is catchy to me. Gears of War NES + NES Advantage, I'd rotate that in and out of display...

As long as the NES and the Advantage work, I'd be down.

Exactly! The laptop I bought off of craigslist last month, the guy sent me pics of it COVERED in dust. I was a just a tad bit weary, but he said he would clean it up and send better pics (which he did, and it looked brand new).

saw your post on craigslist about buying games my bf dumped me last night to sleep with another girl so while he was out with her i took his xbox and playstation games please let me know today if you want to buy them or i will have to take what gamestop will give me because i need to get rid of these fast"

I know what the question raging in everyone's mind is: Why was she at her boyfriend's while he was out banging another girl?
