Just a heads up that these bundles are now live on Amazon as well:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...9341&plgroup=1

I was actually getting better final prices on amazon than newegg, even with CA tax on both.

Except for Crysis which is Origin, the others require Steam so not only can you activate them there but you have to.

If you get that big honkin 6 game pack from 2 7970s then Far Cry 3 is Uplay, but other than that and Crysis the rest are Steam.

not bad not bad at all.

cant wait to get my crysis 3 and bench my pc then.

anyone else got any benchmark suggestions? Im off to run 3dmark now.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5842826 dunno why it says 800mhz ram, cpuz says its running correctly at 1066mhz as its 2133 ddr3.

Got 1500 something on uniengine. Sick benchmark btw.

I have an Nvidia GT 520 now, and I'm looking to upgrade maybe to a Radeon HD 7850. This page suggests that the 7850 blows the GT520 out of the water when it comes to memory bandwidth, FLOPs, and fill rates. To be honest, I'm not sure how well that translates into gaming performance. I'm half-planning on buying Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite on Steam anyway, so the cost of the upgrade becomes somewhat negligible ($50 or so?).

What do you CAGs think?

Is the rest of your rig decent and what resolution do you plan on playing at? If you don't have a super high resolution monitor and don't have to have everything maxed out then it isn't a bad card. The fact that you are already interested in getting the games does make an upgrade like this more tempting and probably more worthwhile. f the games aren't that interesting to you or you want to wait, new card should be coming out soon. Those will push down the prices of older cards and you could probably get something better for similar money.

Good to know. I have a 23.5 inch acer monitor and I usually game at 1080p. I have an 8 core AMD FX and 32GB of DDR3 memory. My graphics card is probably the worst / cheapest component I have at this point. With my GT 520, I usually have to play games like Skyrim at 720p and it can be jerky even at that resolution. I'm really interested in the games this comes with, so I'm going to try to pick up one of these cards. Thanks!

Newegg has a couple of these cards on sale right now.

Sapphire 1G 7850. $170.99 with code EMCXVXM79. Also has a $15 rebate on top of that so if you can get the rebate $155.99.

HIS 2GB 7850. $179.99, no code needed
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161406

Both are highly rated on Newegg and come with the voucher for Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite.

For those who get hit by tax @ newegg (like me), TD has the sapphire card for $160 AR +~$4 shipping.

Hey guys, im a bit of a noob when it comes to graphic cards. Can anyone tell me whats the different from these 2 cards?

XFX Double D FX-787A-CDFC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6814150605

XFX Core Edition FX-787A-CNFC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6814150604

I can imagine the double fan one runs cooler, but does it mean louder as well? Any other major differences. Thanks

I had to look it up too.

It's apparently literally just a single vs a double fan that's the difference.

Confirmed here:

but here's a quick primer for those who are struggling to make sense of the various product names:

Core Edition - 1,000MHz core, 4,800MHz memory, single fan, model number FX-787A-CNFC, £270
Black Edition - 1,050MHz core, 5,000MHz memory, single fan, model number FX-787A-CNBC, £285
Double Dissipation Edition - 1,000MHz core, 4,800MHz memory, dual fan, model number FX-787A-CDFC, £290
Black Edition featuring Double Dissipation - 1,050MHz core, 5,000MHz memory, dual fan, model number FX-787A-CDBC, £300

Confused yet? We were, but it breaks down like this, you have a choice of single- or dual-fan configuration (Core or Double Dissipation) and can then have the card stock-clocked or overclocked (regular or Black Edition).

I plan on getting either a 7870 or a 7950 this weekend, but I was going to get it at Fry's. do you have to buy from Newegg/Amazon to get the promotion, or can you buy if from anywhere?
