Things are rolling fast on my insanity run now. I knocked out the Reaper IFF mission, Tali's loyalty mission, and Legion's mission last night. I had never taken Legion with me on Tali's mission before and watching the Quarians freak out over him got a chuckle out of me. And having him with me meant that along with my engineer and Tali, we tore through those geth like they were nothing.

ME3 on Insanity was much easier than I expected and was a lot of fun. You'll think it feels really simple after ME2.

Agreed, ME3 insanity was a cake walk. I used a vanguard and buzzed through everything.

I'm hoping to finish up this weekend. I had to do Mordin's loyalty mission twice last night (first time I forgot to feed the fish and came back to them being dead). Just have Samara's, Jacob's, and Tali's loyalty missions left, then a few sidequests and its off to get the IFF and do Legion's mission. SHould have plenty of time since I'm snowed in this weekend!

Hence why I never buy fish until after the Collector Ship. By then, I've wooed Kelly enough to get her to feed my fish. Then I buy fish.

During the Human-Reaper fight, I fired the Cain at the eye and it didn't home in; it just dumb-fired. Had to finish it off the old-fashioned way, instead of the spectacular explosion. Really irritating.

I dont think Ive ever had it happen before where the fish died after just one mission...whatever, Mordin's loyalty mission doesnt take more than 30 minutes anyway.

Let's just say that in ME3, the automatic fish feeder was one of the first things I bought

Probably the only thing in ME3 I didnt buy

Anyway, gonna finish up the main story today. Doing Tali's loyalty mission, the IFF, Legion's loyalty mission and then off to the endgame. Saving Overlord, LOTSB, and Arrival for after the main story but I'll probably break from ME2 for a while before starting up this ME3 playthrough.

Officially wrapped up the main story today for my Sentinel. Going to come back to Overlord, LOTSB, and Arrival at a later date. Man, 8th time through the game, and the ending level still gives me chills its so great. Love it.

Highlights of the playthrough for my RP'd Shepard who didnt follow Paragon/Renegade but just made decisions I would make:

-No one on the team died, despite Zaeed being unloyal. Went with Tali for the vents, Garrus and Miranda leading the fire teams, Samara as the Biotic specialist and Mordin leading the crew back to the Normandy. Took Garrus and Tali with me to the Human Reaper (yeah ME1 squaddies!) while rotating Miranda/Garrus/Thane for the first part of the level.

-Romanced Tali (looking forward to it in ME3, ME2 felt rushed since I just did her loyalty mission this morning)

-Destroyed the Base (no way I was giving it to TIM after his Collector trap before)

-Destroyed the heretic Geth (no way I wasnt gonna take advantage of a chance to kill thousands of Geth)

-Killed Maelon (his experiments were too barbaric) but saved the data to use as a bargaining chip with the Krogan in the future

-Encouraged the Quarians to retake Rannoch

Yea, I know what you mean. Rushing from switch to switch to save the techie, the music swelling, and the action being just awesome. The whole 3 stage final level (four, if you count the Terminator) was just perfect. Definitely in my Top 5 ME Moments (gameplay wise).

Same for me. I dont know if I could put ahead of the ME1 end sequence (which for me alwys starts at Virmire) but they're very close together. To go from that to the whole ME3 priority earth bit is just....not right.

Lol so I actually gave a damn this time and went through all of Pinnacle Station on ME1. Got 1st in every scenario (Spectre weapons helped), at first it was a bit tricky but once I understood what/where I was doing/going it wasn't too much trouble. Finished the end survival scenario as well and got some sweet loot from Ahurn's apartment. This playthrough I also didn't save Wrex (first time) and oh man mfw that happened.
I also let Kaiden bite the dust, usually save Ashely opposed to popular hatred of her.

ME2 Insanity = Done. Still have to do LotSB on hardcore to get 100%, but that won't be bad now. Except for the first part with the vents, the Collector base didn't seem much worse than normal.

I usually never have trouble with the Collector Base, especially when I did my Insanity playthrough. Actually ended up enjoying the Sentinel class a lot this last playthrough, Assault Armor, Throw Field, Heavy Warp, and Cryo Blast made for good times with a bonus power of Stasis.

Congrats Simosaurus! I'd say you probably will not have a problem since you're a veteran.

Congrats. To me, the only really difficult part of Insanity is the beginning because you're so incredibly underpowered. However, this is a good test to see how much skill you have. Staying alive isn't easy and you have to be careful. Past the beginning, things get much easier simply because the gap in power is narrowing with upgrades. As you gain more and more power/weapon upgrades, things just get easier from there and aside from some unbalanced enemies/fights, Insanity goes from being really tough to challenging. And to be honest, it makes the whole thing feel that much more satisfying.

ME3 progress: Almost done. All side missions completed and currently working on Leviathan. I don't have Omega because it's a ripoff. I'll get it when it hits 560-800 and not one MSP more. After Leviathan, it's time to assault Chronos Station and the endgame.

Big congrats to my boy Simosaurus!! Wiley bugger beat me to it even though I was a bit ahead of him. heh heh.

I'm well on my way. I got through Mordin's loyalty and the Reaper IFF mission tonight. I guess I'll do Tali's loyalty mission while I wait for the Omega 4 relay to open up for me.

Nah, I'd say that's going against the Matriarch and her goons in a closed space with little to no cover and too many biotic attacks to keep you moving on Noveria.

Fight your way to the right immediately. You're pretty protected from biotics back there, and can clean up pockets of enemies relatively easily.

Meant for ME2

I don't know. All of ME1 was stupidly easy on Insanity. Death really only came for you while in the Mako. And even then, most of the time, you could get out and just shoot the obstacle out of the way. I never died in ME1 unless I was using the Mako. When it wasn't vehicular combat, Shepard just fell down a lot but he always got back up.
