I'll update the OP today or tonight but here's a quick update on the Deal of the Week starting on Sunday:

1. Hitman Absolution: $16.49
2. Hitman Absolution - Professional: $19.99
3. Tales of Monkey Island Bundle - $8.99
4. Sam&Max Bundle - $23.99
5. Individual Sam&Max Games - $9.99

Cheers,
Tony
Obviously the Hitman games are steam keys, but what's the DRM situation with the Telltale games?

Sam & Max activates on Steam. Just checked the Amazon product pages for them. Price seems too high for them though. IIRC the complete pack has been around $13 in a few Steam sales.

Not sure about Tales of Monkey Island, I don't see any DRM listed.

Damn, it never even occurred to me to check the store pages for the DRM info. Talk about a rookie move on my part. lol

Complete Sam & Max has been $12.50 on a couple of occasions on steam. So not the best deal there.
Tales of Monkey Island was once $5 on steam, but over the past few years, it's been $8.75 when it goes on sale. So that's not too bad of a deal.

yeah Sam and Max Complete Pack was 12.50 on every recent summer/xmas sale
so 23$ isn't great

episode 104 is free on steam if someone wants to check it out

first season is 4:3
for widescreen this works perfectly http://www.wsgf.org/book/export/html/5159

Thanks for running another deal on Hitman. My buddy and I both were talking about how much we regretting not purchasing it last time it was on sale.

I do have a question regarding some games going forward. I saw that CAPCOM states that they were only going to sell games through GFWL, Steam, and Origin. Since their games going forward appear to be using Steamworks, is there any chance that we might see some more CAPCOM games for sale on Amazon?

Yes, it should run no problem.

I'd buy any of the expansion packs, and none of the stuff packs. The expansion packs are worth it for $10 or under, but not necessary to have fun with the game.

Check your system's PC specifications - i.e. OS (Windows 7 in your case); processor; RAM; hard drive space; and especially your video card.

You want to see if your PC specs match up or are actually better than the game's system requirements (which are in the middle of the page):

EDIT:
I have Generations, Late Night, and Showtime for expansions.

Right, silly me. It will still take a relatively strong system to run well. I just thought he was asking if it was compatible with Win7.

Picked up Sims 3 main game, generations, seasons, late night, and supernatural. Time to not leave my house for 2 months.

Especially if you want to max-out the game graphically; AND especially if you're gonna run it say zoomed-out a bit, at times. Performance can drop; especially if there's A LOT going on, on-screen.

Plus, like most Sims series games - the camera sometimes just can be sluggish, no matter what.

Regardless, I love Sims 3. I've always loved Sims series - but I really-really love Sims 3. While Generations is a little more subtle w/ how it integrates more stuff into Sims (as it drops more features and options here and there), I really liked the type of content Late Night and Showtime brought to the table.

A bit disappointed in the Telltale prices. It's weird that the only time they've seemed to deep discount is with the Indie Royale of all people.

Yea Telltale's prices seem a bit high in most retailrs. They make good games, but $30-$35 for games that are a few years old and comparative length to most adventures (which are released at around $20-$25) is steep.

Be careful about expressing disappointment on this thread.

Thanks for the update Tony. Any chance we'll be having a Prototype franchise, Anno 2070 franchise, and a Settlers 7 Deluxe Gold Edition sale anytime soon?

Yes it will, as stated above.

The base game is plenty, plenty awesome enough on it's own. That said, each DLC just adds more layers of wonderful, delicious toppings on top of the satisfying video game sundae.

Also, great to see Hitman on sale yet again. I'm tempted every time.

Isn't America all about freedom of speech though? The comment you're referring to seemed like non-inflammatory feedback to me. I would think Amazon would like a balanced public opinion rather than people just blowing smoke up their a@# all the time.

Before anyone states the obvious, I've read the opening posts to this thread, so I know how our thoughts are supposed to be expressed. I'm sure Corpekata had meant to say 'I am not interested in the Telltale deal but I would be at ~$10.00'.

It's nothing to do with entitlement. Simply an observation that deals have been cheaper elsewhere. Not much different to when the double-edged sword is cutting the other way and it is the steam store that is being shown as wanting in comparison to the great deal/s Amazon have on. Like what we have here now with The Sims 3 and its plethora of junk packs. They're not for me but I can recognize a good deal when I see one.

In closing, 3 cheers for Tony and the neverending deals coming our way from Amazon. I would think the competition would be looking closely at how this personalized service is working for Amazon and how they could put a friendly face on their own PR/sales team.

Both George and I were kidding. It's in reference to people flipping their shit and defending Tony to the death when someone even whispers that they think a deal is crappy.
