well brandon marshall being hurt is the best news i could have right now since im in the playoff race and need the jets to lose that really helps me out alot jets are so dangerous with him its not even funny. i cant even believe im making a decent run with all the injury ive had with keys players my backups really stepped up big for me

There will definitely be teams open after this season. If you look at the first post of this thread, you can see the teams that are currently open. I just don't want to fill those teams this late in the season out of fairness to the people who have been fighting for a playoff spot. But definitely hang around the thread, feel free to ask questions, and just let us know that you're still interested, and you'll be one of the first in line to grab a team as we move into the offseason.

Probably. The reason we helf off last season was out of fear of injuries being reset. But I think it's pretty apparent now that EA fixed that glitch (along with the disconnect issue...remember when the game first game out, and the game would award losses to whoever was to "blame" for the disconnect no matter what?) I think it would be fine to figure out who our new owners will be and let them look over their rosters and start to plan their moves once we reach the playoffs.

And if you want to scrimmage with any of these guys, feel free. Obviously, I don't want them being chettingway's (like how I did that? lol), but as long as they're around our level of competition, I'd be more concerned with HOW they play. People doing things the right way goes a long way.

ya i will check the waiting list once i get some free time and try and set them up for scrims and get back u on there level of play and make sure they look over the rules before the scrim so they know how to be playing as well. also curious to know this but is everyone thats already in the league still good for next season is any one graduating this year or is everyone safe. i think our league has finally found a great balance this season now that the chettingway is gone lol and yes i like how u did it

That's really too early to say. In general, I feel a lot better about this season than I did last. The obvious outliers right now are Blade and perdition(troy. The issues there though are that Blade is a good player who took one of the best teams in the game. I feel like he might be judged more harshly because of that, but that's also something he needs to think about for next year's game.

The way I feel right now, I don't have any intention of getting rid of him after this season...but if we went through season 3, and he just mows people down again...it would definitely be looked at more closely. As for perdition(troy, he said it himself...he's had several CPU games this season. We'll see how his games go over the rest of this season. But like Blade, he wouldn't just be tossed aside due to one season. But he would be looked at more closely.

I was hoping for basically the situation you outlined, I feel it is fair. I was already considering not taking one of the better teams next year. I want to stay in this league and not have my only option be the main league. Though I do think the trades have made a difference in my team too.

Nah, but seriously, he's a good challenge twice a year. I've faced him 3 times (was unavailable once in season 1)--won in Season 1 in an ugly game, got SMOKED first game this year, and despite the score, we played a very tight game up until the 4th this year. Blade is a very good player, but I'm fine keeping him in the division or moving him to a tougher division/less talented team if that's the plan, too. Would hate to lose him.

It would be an interesting year next year though, potentially, if Blade moves to another team. Cards and Hawks have been close all year and are currently tied, and depending on new Rams and 9ers owners, could be a very tight division.

I've had close games, but people are 4-10 points behind and start airing the ball out against my DBs then it's welcome to pick city. I think I had about 4-5 games that were relatively close until the passing attempts went up. It's not like I user all these guys on defense either. I almost always play DT if he is out there, LE in nickel or sub, and occasionally MLB in quarter formation. I don't want to screw up and give up a big play.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened to me in our first game--you went up by 2-3 scores and I started airing it out, out of desperation. I did that a lot early in the season. Passing on your 9ers is very tough, I'll tell ya.
