I tried to activate my Amazon software code on Steam, but it didn't do anything.
Maybe someone can make better use of it than me? ,')

Also, is anyone still waiting on their Paradox 2012 Ultimate codes?
I have about 80% of them (they slowly trickled into my account after the second day), but there's still some games and dlcs that refuse to appear.

Anyone that bought Turbotax, I just got an email with a $35 promo credit for Quicken! Now, every version of Quicken has horrible reviews, but you can get Home edition for free with the credit. I sprung for the home and business version to give it a try for $20 bucks and we'll see. They have been updating it so maybe they will work out the problems with it.

If anyone has a spare code they aren't going to use, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to get Scrivener. Thanks.

Deal of the Week is live!

Any information about Tales of Monkey Island Bundle DRM ? There's nothing on game page so I assume it's not Steam.

Regards

It's usually on the front page. Looks like Tony hasn't gotten around to updating the OP yet. So I'll quote the post in which he announced this week's deals.

considering Hitman, but I likely wont get to it for a while and by the time I would it should be on sale for at most $10, so I think I will hold off. Trying to make headway on my 4 in February challenge anyway.

The game.still takes a while to load with a great system. My wife plays it on our laptop which has a Samsung 830, I7 sandy bridge, and GT550M card and it still takes a minute or two to load the town, versus a minute to start, log in, and start playing something like Star Trek Online....which has better graphics And seemingly bigger environments,....... but there is a lot going on in Sims at once.

Out of curiosity Tony, who sets the prices for games that you sell in the PCDD store? Are they set by the publisher? Or do you guys set a price that you think sounds about right?

I ask because I notice that the MSRP on the Monkey Island Bundle is $44.75 over on Amazon. Most other places it's $35. I'm not sure why Telltale would set the price at $35 at most places and have it at $45 with you guys. It cuts both ways, though. I occasionally see items with a lower MSRP on Amazon than they are on steam.

Oh and you need to fix the links for the deals of the week in the OP. All links redirect to Hitman Absolution (vanilla).

Dude, I hope she's going out with you for who you are and not for the gaming deals you can get her.

The price is higher in bundle games so they can put an "higher" discount (like GMG, they're doing the same with that 20-30% coupon thing)

The Monkey Island games are great, highly recommend at that price. If I didn't already own them on PS3 I would bite on this. I would also bite on Hitman, but NO, I will not buy anymore games...I need to start beating what I have >_<

Whoops, I'll fix the OP links now. As for pricing, the list price, which is what we base our payments to publishers/developers on is set by the developer. This is why, if we don't get a heads up from the dev that they've changed their list price, you'll sometimes see our normal price (not discounted) price higher than other stores.

Remember, tinfoil hats can cause your hair to fall out. If we wanted to be deceptive we wouldn't have someone to answer questions like this on Sundays at 10:40AM .

Cheers,
Tony
