In other words, yeah, there's some nostalgia and confirmation bias going on.
I love you so hard because of this post.

Hotel transylvania - it's pretty good. Hit and miss on some jokes but overall it was good. Paranorman was good as well. Starts off slow but picks up a bit.

I was surprised how many 'adult' themes there were in Paranorman. Refreshing kids movie.

I saw Skyfall last night. I was never a huge Bomd fan, but I don't get the love for these movies. For what should be an action movie series I always find these movies too long and slow.

Saw Warm Bodies over the weekend, thought it was pretty good. Rob Corddry stole the movie though.

Watched Commando for the first time.

Didn't think it was particularly good. Didn't mind the firefight near the end, but most of it was pretty terrible.

Starship Troopers is a movie I didn't understand at first until I watched it a few times. Whenever someone just talks about it being an alien bug movie, I realize that they probably only saw it once.

You kinda have to view it as an action comedy with a focus on the comedy. It's gets much better from that perspective and is one of my favorite movies.

I just couldn't get into it, and I learned part of the way through it was more comedy than action. But I just thought a lot of the one liners weren't funny, hated the female partner, and the villain was pretty awful. Just couldn't like it. Though the shed scene with the saws was awesome.

Haha...yeah, it's not for everybody. Acting was HORRIBLE. Total Recall was much more polished as an action comedy.

Speaking of action comedies, saw Showtime with De Niro and Murphy again and it's still hilarious.

Is Commando the one with the overweight Australian Freddie Mercury in chainmail? If so, the whole damn movie is worth it for that character alone.

Lol, that would be it. And he's a character all right. HE DON'T NEED NO GUN! Except when it's to shoot someone between the balls.

Totally cool movie. I watched it every time it aired on TV.
The female lead was played by Tommy Chong's daughter!
