I ended up getting hit with a $4 refurb on Transformers which sucked because I know it works but I only paid $15.75 so I was still ahead. I only had disk only copies of Orange Box and L4D2 so it was nice to get full price. L4D2 was a nice surprise and it made up for the refurb fee so I got what I expected.

PSA: I had a Redbox sticker on a used copy of FF XII-2 I bought from GS so I tried to remove it withe some goo gone. Holy bad idea. It caused my disk to splinter. I was a sad Panda.

So I am a GS noob. Wanted to know if this 50% additional credit is towards Pre-Owned games only or not. Thanks!

I think I know what you are asking but the 50% is for all used games. It is a straight up promo not requiring you to pre-order or buy anything. Just 50% on top of the base amount.

Example: I trade in Ocarina of Time 3d - TIV = 16$ + 8$ (50% bonus)

Will I be able to use this 24$ credit to buy a new game or will it become 16$ towards NEW games and 24$ only for USED games purchase ?

Asking this as I spoke to a GS employee once who told me that is how the bonus credit works.

It's $24 towards anything sold either in store or online. Doesnt matter if it's towards new or pre-owned.

Yeah sometimes the bonuses require you to buy a used game but this particular promo does not require you to buy anything.

Side Note:

Now that the PS4 has been announced I found that saying you are saving credit up to buy works like a charm in shutting down the onslaught of pre-order requests.

Until they take reservations and go oh you can pre order it now :p
