Mmm, I'm tempted to wait, but I'm also tempted to just buy it. . .

It's different for other booze, but with vodka, always drink cheap. Always.

The price difference at that bar was $4 for well vodka, $4.50 for Absolut, and $5 for Grey Goose. I usually get Absolut because I know the bartender and he makes them doubles for free, half OJ, half vodka. With that much vodka, I can tell the difference between well and Absolut, and Grey Goose is very close to Absolut. I'm never buying a bottle of Grey Goose to make mixed drinks,

that. We go bottom shelf when we want screwdrivers, Absolut is our high end with that. Typically, we go Burnetts dirt vodka, $8 for 750 mL.
I never drink vodka straight. The only time I have is because friend's girlfriend's brother brought over a bottle of Ciroc, and we polished that shit off pretty quickly. Free is good.

If you're making a screwdriver and you put Grey Goose in it? I'm going to slap you upside the head with the first blunt object I can find, slam the screwdriver, then steal your Grey Goose and skedaddle.

Exactly. Again, only reason I even consider GG screwdrivers is because they are 50 cents more and dude makes them doubles.

So yeah, I'm buying Darkstalkers this week on PSN -- Hank, Uraizen, Joel, Josh -- are you guys in? You guys are pretty much the normal 3S crew. Same developer, GGPO... I'm already sold, but it'd be in' awesome if you guys were grabbing it and we could get some Darkstalkers nights occasionally.
|

I'm getting it. Cannot wait.

For this reason, people who pay good money for vodka are beyond understanding. "I need to pay more so I can taste less of this neutral spirit."
Vodka is just dumb. As a mixer, okay, that's fine, you want to get drunk. On it's own, though, as a sign of refinement and liquor appreciation, it's the dumbest thing going. Far, far dumber than light beer, because at least light beer keeps the fat bastards from getting fatter.

I saw a blog post before where dudes took Burnetts vodka and ran it through a Brita filter, and by the 4th time, they said it was comparable to the higher end vodkas. Which amuses me greatly. They did admit that they were probably pretty drunk by the time that final taste test happened. lol
Light beer = water. Only time I drink it is when it's free. Free booze is the best booze.

For future reference, a large % of the GGT plays their fighters on PSN.
I'm pretty stoked, since the only Darkstalkers I've owned is Chaos Tower for PSP and I haven't put a lot of time into it... other than that, I only got to play those games in random arcades. :\

Reason I play on PSN is because everyone else does, and

paying for XBL Gold. PSN+ is 1000x better value.
I love Vampire Savior, so it's going to be a blast.

Partially... depends on how smooth you like it. If you're happy with a handle of Skyy Vodka for $20 instead of a 1L of GG for $45...
It's like Patron.
I won't turn it down if you're buying, but if it's my wallet? I'm perfectly happy with some Sauza Hornitos.
|

Love Patron, I'll drink that straight all day. Hornitos? Straight it's a bit rough, salty, but great for mixing. I never mix Patron with anything,
Also shots of Patron are $5 locally, and everything else is $4 and up. Anytime somebody buys me a shot and asks what I want, I say Patron. Shit's smooth. The usual shot we do when we have to pay for it by the bottle is Jack, friend and I split it so it works out fairly well.
