Finally beat this last night. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to do the post-game stuff or move on to another rpg in my backlog.

I really enjoyed the game though.

I'm only 20hrs in (kids) but the txt sounds and the opening chest/finding stuff sounds, and general gameplay remind me so much of DQ. That's a good thing. Love this game!

I beat the game. The fact that the post game content happens BEFORE the end of the game pisses me off. I hate it when they do that. I beat the game and I want people groveling at my feet when I talk to them. I'm not going to return to a time before the game was completed and do some ing fetch quests. Put optional stuff BEFORE the end of the game or AFTER the story. Don't put this shit after the end of the game but before the end of the story. Worst way to do post game content that I can think of (aside from forcing you to play through a game a second time to get the "real" ending).

The problem with doing it after the story is that Oliver goes home after the story. Then there is the issue if you wanted to collect the familiars in the White Witch's tower.

Personally, I don't care. Finished the game last night and really enjoyed it, tho having to replay the last boss fights a few times because I kept getting killed. I'll continue to play and maybe try to platinum it. Depends if I get bored.

Well the White Witches tower should still be there, it didn't explode or anything. Now the tower that Shadar was in...

I see nothing wrong with doing it post game. If they REALLY don't want to do that then just unlock it all before the final battle. It's not like you couldn't grind and beat her easily if you wanted to anyway. And like you, I lost a couple of times. It took me 3 tries to beat her. Afterwards when that message appeared on screen, it was a bit of a disappointment and I turned the game off.

I'm just curious; I just collected the 3 stones (but I still have to make them fit into the wand) Am I almost done with the game?

You've still got a few dungeons left to do. You're close but have some important stuff left to do. I'd say you're 10-15 hrs from the end. A couple of narrative things happen in areas you've previously been to that are going to take a while. Also a bunch more side quests will show up. Make sure you get the 8 card reward to unlock oliver's true potential. It's an extra 100 HP and 100 MP. Those extra magic points help a lot with expensive spells towards the end.

Finally platted this last night now for it to sit on my shelf it's nice steelbook. Overall it was a pretty good game better than Tales of Graces by miles but I still enjoyed FF more. I liked the Pokemon/ Persona aspect of the game

Just wondering if a sequel to this game is possible.

Namco said they would consider a sequel if sales were good in the west. It was the 11th best selling game of January in NA, which is great, given it was released Jan 22 and all of the games ahead of it were established IPs and/or multi-platform titles.

There's probably a good chance they'll make a sequel, but it's hard to say for what system.

I am at the save point right outside the White Witch's throne room . I cannot wait to finally finish off the bitch. It's been a great game and I think I may stick around for some of the post game content. After beating the game, can all the previous areas still be accessed?

Yes, with the exception of the Miasma Marshes and Nevermore but those open back up with new bounties.

Make sure you get the Astra spell from Horace prior to fighting her. It will help as its AOE.

Where is Horace hanging out? I haven't seen him since Hamelin.

I believe he is in every city as you progress throughout the game. If you missed him in one city go back and look for him

Just google a Horace guide. That would be the easiest way to do it. He is indeed in every town. In order.
