Well I was walking through Target yesterday and saw Garbage Pail Kids are back (again), so yeah. I do collect non-sports cards, at least for now.

Decided to skip the randomness and buy last year's base set for 11 bucks on Ebay, I'll worry about chase cards later. Series 2 is on the shelves now. Still have all the ones I bought when they first brought them back 10 years ago, as well as all I had from the original run in the 80's.

I remember being extremely surprised when I learned that the guy who created the Garbage Pail Kids (Art Spiegelman) also wrote Maus.

Misc SOA stuff

Lance Sawyer

Jim Kyle

Patrick Canter

My SOA "Crown Jewel"
Season 5 SDCC signed poster

Signed by-

Kurt Sutter
Ron Pearlman,
Katey Sagal,
Charlie Hunnam,
Maggie Siff,
Kim Coates,
Mark Boone Junior,
Tommy Flanagan,
Theo Rossi,
Ryan Hurst,
Dayton Callie

For those that are SOA fans, Cryptozoic Entertainment snagged the liscense for SOA and will be doing a trading card set. Its based on seasons 1 through 4.

If its anything like their Walking Dead or Big Bang Theory releases, its gonna be expensive. If its closer to their Vampire Diaries set, I may have a shot at getting a full set. Theyre good at getting main signers so it should be interesting.

More Misc Art

Artist Danielle Soloud drew this on the envelope of cards she mailed me-

For awhile Hiro's were slow so I decided to collect Lady Death sketch cards

They also picked up the license for Breaking Bad, which I'm very much looking forward to! Ted is hoping to be doing sketches for Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad.

Never saw Breaking Bad but heard tons of good stuff.

If they do sketch cards for this, theyll go on the back burner for me and not a "must have" except for a possible couple of artist proofs.

Im hoping they do because that takes some heat off the pricing of the rest of the stuff for the case breakers. Guess it all breaks down as to wether or not who controls likeness rights etc.

This is very neat - I had heard of ACEOs in passing before but hadn't looked into them too much.

I don't have the budget to collect, but I love seeing what's been posted so far (from an aesthetic standpoint but also as an amateur artist).

I collect band/gaming posters when I can. Right now, as far as band posters go, I only have Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon and a poster I picked up at an Iron Maiden concert when they were on their Maiden England 2012 tour.

As far as gaming posters, I have Uncharted 3, MW3, and God of War: Ascension. I recently discovered that there is a Five Below in town and they have a bunch of posters. Once I scrap some money together, I'm gonna go get some.
