Shopping at Hot Topic, Sneaky?

And Metal Boss, go yourself, you self rightous jackass. I mean, in other words, you totally advocated the murder of a gay man (as with Jons case) and the murder of a band mate because of a supposed idea that the other member had a more "evil" reputation and other bull shit stuff. Not to mention burning down really old churchs (I'm not any religion, but that is just ed up), and spout off Aryan rhetoric and other wanna be "white power" shit. Yeah. Thats smart...er...

I will say that I respected Jon as a musician, but as a person, I'm glad he decided to just off himself

Agreed. Death Metal fans who advocate their favorite Death Metal band's actions are just as goofy as the silly ass band's themselves.

I didn't like "totally" advocate anything... You've got some really intricate assumptions there.

I think finding satisfaction in him taking his own life is just inane, especially when you seem to make out like you know-it-all, but with all the assumptions you make I would question your knowledge. Quite frankly most of what you say is mispelled gibberish so it's no wonder you speak so freely on your assumptions in the first place.

FUCK you too.

News flash, probably everyone on CAG has a fair share on MP3s. So your argument is moot. As for "miss spellings" and not making "valid points" because of said miss spellings, you might as well sell your PC and drop your internet connection because not everyone is a ing grammer and spelling nazi like your sorry hide...

And their not "assumptions"...geez

I edited my post a bit up there before you replied, but, yes you did make quite the assumption in this little steaming nugget of text.

"you totally advocated the murder of a gay man (as with Jons case) and the murder of a band mate because of a supposed idea that the other member had a more "evil" reputation and other bull shit stuff. Not to mention burning down really old churchs"

no, I did not advocate that...

As for my "gibberish", I'm sorry that you're dyslexic (or lexicdys in your case). Might want to contact Tom Cruise to see if he can help you with that. And that was a sorry excuse for back-peddling

Its not an "assumption" that Jon Nodtveidt killed some one (doesn't matter who it was), its a fact. Why the hell else was he thrown in jail? Varg Vikernes? He killed Euronymous. There is no concrete evidence of why. Some say it was because he had a more "evil" reputation thatn Varg. Others say it was over money for the first Burzum album on Euronymous's label Deathlike Silence. Not to mention, at the time of his arrest, he was found with over 100kg of explosives in his home, with plans to blow up a church in Norway. Those are FACTS, not bullshit assumptions...

Such a quick wit, then you had to ruin it with an oh-so-original Tom Cruise joke, how relevant!

Sure the internet is full of people who can't formulate a decent sentence, or spell simple words, thank you for pointing that out, you must have learned alot from them.

Jon was an accomplice in murder, claiming to have owned the gun that was used, he did not actually kill anybody. Get your ing "FACTS" straight asshole! He did his time, and he's accomplished everything he wanted out of his life and died content with himself, will you be able to say the same about yourself? Worthless shit-talker. You can continue to mock his religeon, rants and philosophy behind your computer screen, and sure, maybe we can both agree on certain aspects of his life that were undesirable all day if you'd like, but the truth is Jon Nodtveidt was an incredibly accomplished man, & much to your dissatisfaction, he did not die a depressed man, by any means. He reached an absolute peak with dissection, and created some of the most amazing metal that will ever exist...

I also did not mention varg at all... Time to shift your arguments to the subject at hand, maybe?

It's interesting how people vilify Hot Topic items (not surprising, but interesting). The questions that stems from this, of course, is this: what are the appropriate methods of acquiring a metal/band shirt? If one assumes that, by shopping at Hot Topic, some semblance of "authenticity" (maybe something else? dignity?) is sacrificed, then what means of buying shirts/items give authenticity? This kinda comes from a discussion in a book on straight edge that a sociologist wrote that I'm finishing up at the moment. He talks about clothing in much the same way.

Xevious, what is that signature image of? I can't stop watching it.

I dont know where its from- I saw it on myspace the other day and I thought it was great to incorporate it here.

I do recall there is a reality show called "So you can think you can dance?" and I am guessing its from there. Its only a guess though...

Well, I'm dropping it. I've stated all that needs to be said and can't say anymore. Anything else he says is just gonna be trolling in my eyes...

He just seems to think that I'm shitting on the music that those bands have put out. Which I'm not. While I like Dissections music, I don't like what Jon has done/did or anything else, other than his music. Its the same with other artisits, I may not like them as a person and what they do in their free time, but I respect them as a musician. Only time I hate someone both as a person and as an "artist" are little bitches like Britney Spears and people like her.

As for my dislike of Varg, I just have a disdain and no tolerance for people that spout off white power rhetoric

I can admit a bit of unfounded anger, but I just see what you said as disrespectful.

I could clearly see that you mean well by saying you respect him as a musician, but you really do seem to have your facts skewed, read a little bit into the man, please.

Sure, I can understand that, but you know what, varg! I didn't have anything to say about him.

Only Death shirt they had at mine was the logo in silver. They also had some Cannibal Corpse, and a few other REAL metal bands.

I give it a few months before Chuck Schuldiner is added to the list of RIPs with Cobain and Dimebag. The Death shirt at Hot Topic is just the beginning.

Saw GWAR sunday night guys. The headlining bands sucked, except for maybe 2 cents, because they played Raining Blood and Mandatory Suicide at the end of their set. The blood spray from GWAR was great. not only because it was fake blood being sprayed, but also it cooled us down in the humid venue. I will definitely see GWAR again if they come down to Maryland or Pennsylvania. I wore a white t-shirt to the show as a souvenir, after the show it looked like a tye dye t-shirt, i'll try to post pics.

^^^Gwar is always a good time. I haven't REALLY liked any of their albums since Ragnarok, but they're still worthwhile.

Re: Dissection...

I just heard about this death TODAY. My metal-self ain't what it used to be. I've got more important stuff on my mind like porn, YTMND moderating, and work. Probably in that order.

Storm of the Light's Bane was absolutely one of my favorite albums in high school. Awesome.

I saw them live right around the time it came out, I had never heard of them before that. I remember cracking up at the corny "Where Dead Angels Lie" title when he screamed it into the microphone.

The satanic element of the death metal fanbase is always entertaining, and it's fun to see their feedback on this stuff....to wit:

Quote:
Hails!

Now gone forever, he was once the most
visible spokesman of SETIAN concepts and
ideals. He was truly a DREAD MAGICIAN of the
highest order.
Damn - a Dread Magician...and he was just TWO DAYS away from leveling up to a Grim Necromancer. : (
