dammit, it's a Madcatz. Does it just corrupt THAT card's data or also the other ones?

Yeah when a game drops out of the system it's a real crap shoot... I've had really good luck at my store with the cashiers allowing me to name my price. Big time YMMV.

I guess if I had a bad experience, I'd be upset too, but I've always used 3rd party accessories as much as first party. I cannot recall anything particularly wonky about the 3rd party stuff, with the exception of my Nyko remote for the 360. Though I'm not sure if that's because the remote itself is a piece of garbage, or because Microsoft intentionally made wireless hard for 3rd parties. But all my Madcatz stuff (GC, PS2) works well and I'd have no fear in buying from them again.

For the record, I also use GameStop component cables for my 360.

I've also used a lot of third party accessories and I've never had any horror stories. Hell, the second oldest PS1 memory card I have if from mad Catz and it's still working just fine. Even 2 of my 4 Gamecube cards are Mad catz, including the first one I bought, which was the first February the system was out. I think it really depends on how much the thing is used and how it's handled. if you are constantly moving you memory card, dropping it, etc, it may just corrupt. But under moderate/normal use, it should be fine.

I haven't been following this thread much but there's a ton of stuff on clearance at my local Target. Most of it is still above the range I'd want to pay but I did pick up College Hoops 2K6 (360) for $4.98. I figured that was the 75% off price so that's the lowest it'll go. This store is notorious for only letting things get to 50% before sending them off (like those 360 Arcade sticks).

I also managed to get a bunch of Halloween T-shirts for the kids for 40 - 70 cents. Sure, they are all odd sizes that don't fit anyone now (or probably next year either) but for that cheap I couldn't resist .

^ I know the feeling. I found a lot of candy for $0.21 - $0.27 a bag. I was grabbing stuff even if it wasn't my favorite kinds just because it was so cheap. I figured with most expiring in Spring and Summer 08, I'd stock up now rather than buy an occasional bag for $2 on sale during the year.

I also saw an endcap with a ton of games, unfortunately they were all 30% off. Too many to list, but I remember seeing Ant Bully for the Wii for $13.98, a bunch of 07 sports games on various systems, Gun for the PSP.

Was hoping the 50% off games finally dropped but Burnout Dominator is still scanning at $19.98

My Target had the following for 360:

N3 - $20.98
FEAR - $20.98
Prey - $20.98

I don't know if I should pick up N3 and FEAR yet.

NBA Street Homecourt (360) $29.98
Godfather (Xbx) $9.98

I'm looking to obtain STALKER, but for no less than $15. If anyone can help me out, please let me know

READ THE DAMN TITLE NOOB!!!

it's a YMMV thing so you have to get your lazy ass to a target and look for yourself.

Hey Friend of Sonic, nice job on the list in the OP - that's the first time I've ever seen a comprehensive Target clearance list on CAG .

I did just remember one more I saw. Besides the College Hoops 2K6 I picked up, it was the only thing at 75% off - King Kong for the Gamecube was $4.98 also. I would have snagged it if I didn't have the 360 version. Pretty much everything you have in the list (dated Nov 5th) that I saw at my store was the same price so I would imagine those two would be fairly universal as well - or at least on clearance at some price (you do have College Hoops on there from Oct as $9.98 but King Kong for the GC is new).

Damn, wish I had known about Arcade Unplugged - I need to keep an eye out for that one. Unfortunately every Target I've been to in the last year keeps on top of all their prices and I never find those hidden gems any more (unlike at, say, Kmart ).

Saw these prices yesterday:

Ratatouille $34.98
Shrek 3 $24.98
Fantastic 4 ROTSS $19.98

Fantastic 4 ROTSS $14.98

Just got Black (Xbox) and 24 (PS2) for $4.98

Also saw Blitz (360) for $13 and piles of other 360 games that have already been mentioned

I saw Battles of Prince of Persia for DS for $9.98 the other day.

I'm not sure that I would include prices in the OP. Clearance prices vary from store to store.

YMMV, I bought Warhammer 40K: Dark Crusade for the PC for $9.99 at the Target @ Mundelein, IL two days ago. This is the stand alone expansion for WarHammer 40K (PC).

Too bad though....I would love to pick this up for $10, reminds me of the R6:Vegas when it first came out and some targets had it on clearance.

I can confirm that this is CoD2 as I have been to 3 targets in the past week and they all had CoD2 for the PC for $9.99. Hardly a deal. However, CoD4 is available for the PC now. Infinity Ward wouldn't leave their PC peeps hanging in the dust like that.

More Games

It's so weird, i go to my target weekly and there's close to never any clearance games. I stopped by today during lunch and found the end aisle just smattered with cleareance games (mainly 360 games), most were not even in the glass cases for the past couple months. They all were still in the 20-25 dollar range, so i didn't pick any up. The list was:

360
-Prey
-Gun
-Meet the Robinsons
-The Godfather
-Pimp My Ride
-Call of Duty 2
-Tiger Woods
-DOA 4

Wii
-Metal Slug Anthology
-Red Steel

All in the 20-25 dollar range
Old 11-08-2007, 02:26 PM   #1037
I've been waiting for Metal Slug to hit the $20 range for some time now. I've never seen it on clearance at target though.
Old 11-08-2007, 06:38 PM   #1038
tons of ds, 360, ps2, and psp games at my target. mostly inline with the stated prices.

all of their ddr games on every platform were starting to be clearanced, but still not too cheap.

i did find one amazing thing though. ddr mario mix. not only there, but clearanced! Paid 37 for it out the door.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous to some of you, but could someone tell me what "YMMV" means?
Anyway, I'm tempted to buy N3. I'm really drawn to this game for some reason.
