This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Just wanted to point out that NFL Head Coach 09 came out this week on PSN, in case you either hadn't heard yet or just didn't mention it on the show since I hadn't listened yet.
Edit: I see that you did. The game you and Mrs. Shipwreck were getting confused with Clu Clu Land was Balloon Fight. And you're an asshole, Shipwreck, for not talking to that guy at BB about the fishing game he was buying. It wasn't that hard to move around in The Last Guy, as you just use the X button to be able to see where people are hidden and see where your paths are. I only had issues with getting caught on edges of buildings, but nothing else after having played through the rest of the game. It's a simple, fleshed-out version of Snake that was surprisingly fun for me. It doesn't technically use Google Maps from what the developers have said, but it does use satellite photos of these cities.

I thought it was interesting hearing you guys preview Head Coach, as you seemed very confused on what the game's basis was, well, at least mrs. shipwreck did. shipwreck kinda touched on it when he mentioned the text-based soccer manager games. =d otherwise, good show!

I still have a hard time listening to this show, but I will nonetheless. There are much worse out there.

Great show guys. Interesting interview. Nice to see you are growing into a man Ship.
I was a little dissappointed to hear you guys not talk about the Wombat Football League in brief. Of course after Mrs. Ship beats me this week, you can skip it all together this week... Damn you Tom Brady!

Shippy, good to know what's going on with the CAG game database. Cheapy hasn't been very good at letting us know what's going with it.
The whole interview thing was kinda weird since it's from Foreplay which was unexpected. I thought Cheapy had the scoops. Good interview though. btw, mrs. shippy sounds much more chipper in the morning and less cranky, imo.

Finally catching up, another great episode. Very interested in the 360 rpg reviews, I do enjoy turn based slightly more than real time, but I still picked up ToV. Its ood though, since I was originally intending to buy IU before ToV, but it just slipped to the back burner.

I enjoyed the show, especially the interview. Maybe it's because I haven't you guys do one before, but it was really cool. Maybe it was the whole CAGgy-ness of the thing or the guys story of joining a game outfit in a game store. Maybe it's the "small time publisher makes headway in the world of giants like EA and Actizzard. Or maybe it was the five prizes. Either way it was cool and I hope as you become more well-known in the online world of video gaming, we get more of the like. As always, the previews were well thought out and entertaining. I wonder how many other game developers are closet CAGs.
Oh, and don't forget to highlight the discussion on DLC that exploded all over the last show's thread next week - a succint review would be fun to hear. |

Welcome back to the "regular" Foreplay 'cast.
I'm with ship, I definitely enjoy playing RPG's on my handhelds. I certainly do play them on the big consoles, too, but more so on the handhelds. I've never played a Harvest Moon game. I'm beginning to wonder if I should give them a try, though. mrs. ship and I seem to enjoy a lot of the same games..then again, the comparison to Phantom Hourglass makes me think twice about the newest one, I hated that control scheme. What would be a good one to try? The game sounds a little Animal Crossing-ish. N+ reminds me a lot of a game I used to love on my old Palm Pilot, Bike or Die! (http://bike.toyspring.com/) I'm trading in Eternal Sonata to GameStop, I think I'll be picking this up for my DS, as it's not something I can see playing on my 360 (though I did the demo there). I definitely would have said something to the guy who was buying last year's version of the fishing game. I've done that before at game stores, and I've had people ask me my opinions on games. I have to wonder if I look like such a gamer nerd that they come to me to ask, or if it's just that I don't look intimidating. I'll go with the latter. =p And that's that. /tk

Just as an aside, as the only podcast I listen to on a regular basis that always mentions various petz games and such, I noticed that seanbaby had written an article in the October issue of EGM. I'm going to say it wasn't very entertaining. I much prefer the normal jokes from you guys in the podcast to the article.

If you guys are going to move to a biweekly show now, you should focus on the two following weeks instead of the current and past week.

Hey guys, we were without power due to the remnants of Hurricane Ike. It looks like we are back up an running now, but it still seems to be a little hit or miss. That's made researching, writing, playing, and recording a bit difficult, but I think we are still going to record a show tonight. There will most likely be no write-ups for the games though.

Yikes, at least it sounds like it was just power out for you guys. Hope all is well. I seem to have forgotten what day the show comes out since the CAGCast switched days. Or did you never set on a certain day?
LOL, I was just imagining to the two of your huddled around a candle with iPod the cat discussing crummy Pony simz to entertain yourself. |
