I assume Circuit City will have Fallout 3 tomorrow when they open? I plan on being there as soon as I can to take advantage of the goodies.

I'll answer my own question. When I got to the last stage before placing the order, it told me the total charged to my card would be $52.49, not $42.49 as it would be if it applied the $10 Gift Card. So it seems they'll email out a gift card. I have no need for a CC gift card. Guess I'll just buy off Steam and save the sales tax.

I just picked it up from CC, and the mini-guide is more like a pamphlet. It's about 10 pages long, and it covers an area from the beginning of the game. On the back is a 25% off coupon for the guides at CC.

Just picked up Fallout 3 for PC from CC a few minutes ago. Now I've got the perfect diversion for a dreary Tuesday night.

It's hard to believe but everything went fine. The mini-guide is nothing special but it's better than nothing. The $10 GC is a great deal when compared to the $50 price of the PC version.

Hey, it's CC, of course there are problems.

Picked up Fallout 3 today, got my $10 gift card no problem. When I tried to buy the guide with the coupon, the coupon put BOTH guides (regular and collector's edition) on the receipt. The employee tried to tell me that I have to buy both guides. I tried to reason with her, saying that who in their right mind would buy the same guide twice, but she couldn't override the coupon.

Here's the weird part. The regular edition guide rings up for 14.99 without coupon, which is way below the 24.99 regular price (so I picked it up anyway). But the coupon is for 25% off the guide... which doesn't quite bring it down to the $10 price in the ad, even if the coupon did work correctly. What in the world? Did anyone get the guide coupon to work?

edited to add: I should add that the CC customer service was actually really good. They saw me waiting in line and opened up a new register.

I had a problem trying to use the coupon on the back of the pamphlet, er, mini guide too. The first store I went to was all out of guides so I bought the game there anyway and took my $10 GC and mini guide with coupon to another CC this afternoon. I noticed when she scanned in the guide it scanned at $14.99 which wouldn't come out to $9.99 with 25% off, but I figured I'd just show her the ad. Well, the coupon on the mini guide wouldn't even scan so she called a manager over. I showed him the ad and after also trying unsuccessfully to scan the coupon and guide, he just price adjusted the guide to $9.99 and after a few cents out of pocket to cover the tax and my GC, I was on my way.

Oh and to the poster above me, no you cannot use the GC on your purchase of the game.

alright i'm a bit flustered with circuit city. i just called and they have not received Little Big Planet, but then again it's sold out online.

most of those game deals are not available for pick up. only online. :/

man, actually it seems like they don't have any games at all. it seems like all of the games are shipped. guess i'll go buy it at bestbuy and hopefully they do that price match with circuit city.

The coupon wouldn't scan at my CC either... the cashier had to manually enter the coupon code, which is when it put up both strategy guide prices (and this was in addition to the already scanned guide... so the coupon itself adds both strategy guides to your receipt automatically).

I picked up the ad on the way out and saw the 9.99 price... I might go back tomorrow to pricematch... to their own ad. Argh.

I picked up the Fallout 3 PC lunchbox, got the $10 giftcard, also grabbed Little Big Planet, and they gave me a $15 giftcard! Fields-Ertel location in Cincy. Life is good.

I went to CC yesterday to pick up LBP and they didn't receive their shipment for some reason. I went back today solely because of the gift card incentive and to my surprise they were honoring last week's advertised $15 gift card with purchase so that was sweet. Now I'm downloading the stupid update and it is taking awhile.

It's a minifaq as others have said. But there is a 25% off coupon for the guide on the back. And the guide is $14.99 this week. And you get a $10 gift card with the game. I bought the game then bought the real guide for $2. As good as free.

I went in today and got LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 (PS3). Got the $15 gift card from LBP (rang up in the system), the $10 giftcard and mini-guide from Fallout, and they let me use a $15 off $100 coupon.
