What I was told is that Gamestop corporates policy states that Gamestop does not take multiple copies, but the one exception is that if you can provide a receipt to prove that they are not stolen, then all is OK.

Now getting a Gamestop employee that actually has read and understands this policy may be hard to find.

I guess I'm lucky that the manager at my local store understands the policy, and has given me the green light to go ahead and bring multiples of anything, because he knows I can provide receipts.

They took my second copy of NCAA Football 2009 for at a second Gamestop once I hit up HWV and picked up 3-4 filler games to trade in with it on the SAME day I traded in another copy of the game at another Gamestop.

So, it IS YMMV, but I figured I'd better dump it today while it was a great flip($19.25 without bonus + Edge).

So you can trade 2 copies of a game to Gamestop. If you trade 3 what will happen. What is the penalty, complete bannage?

HWV is having a $3.99 clearance on PS2, GC, Xbox used games. Look at the TIV's on pg. 1 and find games at HWV that would get you more credit than what you're paying HWV for them. I don't know if HWV in Puerto Rico is participating in this deal.

Wait, someone mentioned something about 'bad copies of GTA:SA.' Is Gamestop checking the serial number on the disks before taking them for the old Hot Coffee ones? Because while they tried to tag on referb fees onto a lot of my stuff, it did seem odd they flat out declined GTA:SA.

Apparently, they don't want to take in the Hot Coffee copies anymore, but yet I've seen copies of BMX XXX and The Guy Game sitting on the shelves recently.

So apparently, Gamestop's policy is that digitized boobs/simu-sex are a no-no, while real boobs in both BMX XXX and The Guy Game are ok.

It makes no sense to me either.

Quick question if I would have traded all 16 games at once instead of 2 trips of 11 and 5, would I have made more $$ right?

I had originally had two Battlefront IIs on the table for them to process for the deal, however the clerk informed me they don't take multiples of games, so... yeah. At least it works with my 360, and I've been getting a collection together finally.

Here's where the fishy part comes in: I notice that the credit is something along the lines of $63.00, which is good... but the Fatal Flaw was listed on the receipt as $7.00 trade in value (9.10 with the tiered deal) and I figured hey it was only 3.99 why complain about a profit, so I bushed it off and looked around at games for a bit. Now I'm well aware that GS lists Backwards Compatible games with (BC) and that's what helped me notice that the clerk had given me the XBOX value for the PS2 title. I went back to the clerk and mentioned it to him, and he realized his mistake, so he had to go and re-do the entire transaction, though he couldn't find the game I had just 5 minutes before traded in. Turns out they had already labelled the game as XBOX for $16.99 and the lady working there had taken the game and hid it underneath the counter, and she said "Oh, I saw it and thought it was a great price for the game, so I was going to buy it later.." After all that, I ended up getting an extra $15.00 in credit applied to my "EDGE Gift card" as I haven't gotten my EDGE Card yet. $78 in credit for $30 spent and I have to take GrimGrimoire back to HWV to get Ninja Gaiden Black, since it only netted me $4 credit at GS, and I have a copy of Battlefront II now!

Thanks to the OP for this great deal... I'm hoping to get in on some more gaming action.

Is the Platinum Hits Xbox GTA San Andreas the version that GS will accept?

I'm hoping so as I picked up 7 mint copies at 1 store tonight.
