Not a huge deal (MSRP is $40), but decent savings if you can circumvent Sales Tax along with Free Super Saver Shipping.

FWIW, this is one game I have seen a decent amount of copies of at Circuit Cities I've been to. I picked up a new copy last week for $24, and now it would be down to $20. Obviously YMMV though.

Edit: Mine was 360, but I've seen PS3 copies there as well. (And the DS version, if that's your thing)

Fantastic Game. Got it the day it came out, love it.

I bought it for $60 when it first came out and it was worth every penny and then some.

Seconded. I'm playing it now, I've been a Civ junkie since the first game came out (I was 6) so I was initially skeptical as to how it would work on a console. They really pulled it off, though it's not about to make me abandon the PC versions.

This is a great game at any price, granted I got on clearance at Target sometime ago, it was the only game gracing my 360's DVD Rom drive for maybe 3 weeks. Great game.

Let's hope this trend continues to price drop. Took it forever to go from $60 to $40.

Yeah I can't wait to see this for $20 at Amazon. I loved the demo but it's just not a huge priority right now. For $20 it would be impossible to pass on.

Fallout 3, Fable II, Mirrors Edge, NBA 2K9, Madden 09,Gears of War 2, Far Cry 2, and Left4Dead all are jealous of this game at my house, because it's the only thing I've been playing a LOT of recently. Great Game!

Great game but got really repetitive after a while. I don't think it was worth $60. I have spent a lot more time on cheaper games.

I bought this... and then my brother ran off to college with my copy before I ever even got to try it :(

It's a fun game, worth the price ... but I do have to agree with one of the above posters that it doesn't hold up particularly well over time if you're playing the single player game. Unfortunately, by eliminating most of Civ's diplomatic options, the AI begins to wear thin and will inevitably go back and forth between loving and hating you on a whim, determined by what you have and what they need. If you get too big ... they'll hate you and attack ... if you get too small, they'll want to conquer you. There's no way to balance the AI as games go on to have a realistic, diplomatic end game, at least in my experience. Unfortunately, it's akin to the U.S. constantly being attacked by Mexico because we're bigger and China coming over to demand money due to our smaller population ... not quite "real-world" as far as civilization development goes.

None the less, a great game for awhile and fun (but long in multiplayer ... god forbid your opponent quits half way through). Bottom line, you could do alot worse for $36.99 and it will keep you entertained for awhile.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, you can achieve a diplomatic end game but the AI is very spazzy when it comes to your relations ... it's just not as deep as Civ IV ... faster and fun none the less

I picked one up at CC for $30+tax
go check yours and you might get lucky.

i have this game for my DS and i couldnt stop playing it for about a 3 weeks straight. so i would think that these versions would be better. if you've never played this, now would be a good time to pick it up.
