So Joystiq had access to drunk HMX people and didn't ask them about Nothing's Shocking. Bastiges.

Malik was right in the first place, and it has very little to do with not making videos/not getting radio play.
You are insane! Red Mosquito, Hail Hail, In My Tree and Present Tense are freaking amazing. No Code is great - it's just such a radical departure from their first 3 albums and was definitely unexpected at the time it came out. For me, that is the album that turned them from some band I really liked but would probably grow out of to my favorite band that I will listen to for the rest of my life.

Count me as another one that liked No Code. I really liked Yield as well. I have to say looking back on things that I still enjoy all of their albums for one reason or another. I'm not going to rank them and argue about which one is better than the next, but I will say I probably spent the least time listening to Binaural just because I wasn't listening to them much at the time when the album came out.

One thing I have always liked about them is that they weren't afraid to try out new sounds and new styles. All the great bands with longevity have found out that they needed to switch things up and experiment with different sounds and styles to change with the times and PJ is no different. As much as I love Ten, I don't need 8 more albums sounding the same.

Hopefully I'll get some more time with the PJ DLC this weekend. Haven't had time to play alot yet and when I did I couldn't get the lag calibrated on my TV and it was too late to screw around with it. I would love to see more PJ stuff come out though.

One final thing that I have always loved about PJ is how good they are live (seen them 10+ times) and how good their covers tend to be.

For me, it was the "oh, maybe not everything PJ touches turns to gold" album. Still good though.

In all seriousness, is it possible to actually buy Alive? Like for people who only have RB1? (Same with "Give it Away" or any other Album DLC track that was on the RB2 disc)

Nope, basically what's on RB2 disc (and 20 free DLC) stays there.

It's starting to look like the cheese stands alone. I love No Code. I won't waste time & thread derailment ranking them, but I'd definitely put it in the top half of their catalog.

I picked up the Super Deluxe edition from PJ official site hoping to get a signed copy but didn't get a signed one. I might picked up the deluxe edition from BB just for the 3 song code. I'm going to download the rest the album today on RB.

No Code is a cd that casual fans do not like since Pearl Jam went away from the sound of there 3 previous cd's so people say it sucks. Present Tense is a top 3 PJ song in my eyes though. I'll rank my order for the hell of it.

VS.
Vitalogy
Ten
Yield
No Code
Pearl Jam
Binaural
Riot Act

He is serious, and don't call him Surely.

Holy shit - Spongebob songs??? My daughter is going to freak out. When are they going to start including characters with the DLC? How cool would it be to rock out as Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward with Mr. Crabs on drums???

I don't know what's cheesier, the Journey track or the Spongebob ones.
