Let's get viral on this thing tomorrow afternoon: spam your PSN/CAG friends, talk it up in the OTT or the GGT (if you hang out there), and do whatever else you can think of to boost attendance. Let's get some all-CAG 4-on-4 matches going!

EDIT: I just sent PMs to a bunch of CAGs who had expressed interest in multiplayer in the old thread. Can't hurt, right?

I think I could be able to make it Thursdays after work. Yeah, this could definitely work for my schedule... that and I really should buy this game first

Why don't I get a mention on people that should be buying the game?

I'm looking up trade values at GS, considering whether to get it or not.

Is the destruction in the campaign persistent or temporary; if so, how long?

It is persistent. One of the objectives during the campaign is to destroy targeted enemy buildings (bunkers, outposts, etc) and a ton of side missions involve destroying certain buildings.

The destruction is really great, and not at all just a gimmick.

As for the Thursday nights, I most likely will not be able to make it to this one unless you guys are playing for a looong time :P

But my Tues/Thurs schedule may change in time for the next game.

Should be pretty fun. Should try to come up with some ridiculous custom game types to play. Some fun stuff I've read on other forums include Handgun + Firepower backpack only, Railgun + Stealth, Playing Jenga with smokestacks and nano rifles, fleetfoot hammers with increased movement speed, etc

Good games, fizzy. Hope you can make it tomorrow, even if it's later. I can't wait to get a big group going.

And ha, Red Faction Jenga. I love it.

I spammed all of those folks from the original RF:G thread last night and one of them actually wrote back to me: MaskedPlague will be joining us tonight!

Do it, Freaky! It's a blast, and there's a TON of gameplay on that disc. The trophies are very "do-able", as well...no crazy shit where you've got to play through the game again on higher difficulty levels or anything like that.

We're starting at 10pm so I'd be very surprised if we wrap up much before midnight. That said, I know metaly and I don't have to work tomorrow...might be the same for a lot of CAGs. Boot up your PS3 when you get home and see if we're still kicking around!

The modes sound like fun...you need 10 kills with every weapon to get one of the trophies and I was thinking that the pistol one is going to be a giant pain in the ass...combining it with the firepower pack could be excellent, though! We'll definitely keep those on simmer to mix things up in the coming weeks.

Count me in. I have to say I really am enjoying the single player, already finished the first area. No multiplayer yet, so I guess I will have to read the book to see what each mode is.
