With all the promos/edge, I came out with $99. Got a used copy of forza 3, renewed my edge card, and have $34.xx in credit. Also, they didn't check if the headsets or vision cameras worked. Lucky for me, because they DON'T. Ha, thats what they get for not taking my preorder lmao...by the way, Bestbuy.com still takes preorders too
That's pretty shady!

Considering dumping my refurbed 360 to GS for $70 + $25. Damn thing sounds like it's going to take off at any moment, and I'd rather pick up an Arcade and be done with it.

I was also able to confirm in person yesterday (10/30) that the current bonus of $25 will apply to defective systems by having them "simulate" a defective trade using one of their used Xbox 360 systems and the computer listed the $35 + $25.

$60 after the bonus is a pretty good trade deal for a broken system trade since you only net about $30 cash on eBay after deducting for any fees or additional shipping charges.
Or you could just have no standards and do the towel trick for an extra $30 (assuming it's an RROD).

Does anyone know if you get full credit if you sell them Halo 3 odst without the multiplayer disc?

Does TRU not screw you on value?

They're not supposed to take it without the bonus disc.

Unfortunately, the values listed on the TRU trade-in site(http://www.toysrustradeincenter.com/) can and have fluctuated from what is listed on the site versus what you get in store. But they're usually 100% correct. If they aren't though and the values are less than the site, try e-mailing them to get a gift card sent for the difference that you missed out on.

Some of the values they have on there are just nuts when looking at this thread and Gamestop's piddily values.

A few examples of their values:

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising(360)-$32 as of right now, PS3 version is almost $40
Batman: Arkham Asylum(PS3)-tiv WAS $43.50 at one point

So yeah, I'd take my chances going into TRU over GS anyday, since these values are without having to have an Edge card or promo.

As of today, 11/3. All are for XBox 360.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit $6.25
Legendary $5.25
Resident Evil 5 $7.00
Halo 3 $15.00
Halo 3 ODST $28.00
Batman: Arkham Asylum $23.25
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 $5.00
Far Cry 2 $8.00

I took advantage of the 40% extra trade in credit, with my edge card. Ended up with $146.61, not too bad considering I got most of these games for fairly cheap. Picked up Dragon Age, Lego Rawk Band, and had thirty bucks left over.

Sorry for a completely off-topic question, but what are the CAG discount code at Gamestop, and the coupon code for free-shipping? I've searched for the last 10 minutes and can't find any threads with it, amazingly.

Found it. CAG16, SAVER. Sorry.

I don't know if this has ever come up before or if it'd be possible, but for some reason I just thought it'd be cool if the lists could be sorted by TIV. I don't know how helpful this would really be or if anyone else would like it ... just an idea.

Sometimes it is the better option, but usually isn't.

Take Operation Flashpoint for example. With the current GS promo, it'd be over $28. So less than a $4 difference and it's not taxed (at least for me). I realize that you do have to have an Edge card & wait for the right promo at GS, but that's the only time a majority of us on this site ever give them our games anyway.

On top of that, I use just about all my credit on their B2G1 free sales when I buy really new games, making them come out to $33 each. To me, that's much more attactive than an extra couple bucks that I would get, but would still have to pay more in the end for anything I wanted.

And I know you're not new here and know all of this. I'm not trying to call you out or anything. Just posting for anyone who might not be as familiar with the system.
