Of course now I'm getting $30 in promotional credit instead of $40. And hopefully this won't effect my $10 credit for preordering Assassin's Creed II since that's $10 of the incoming $30 promo credit. |

Man this deal is good, it made me want to sell my sealed uncharted for like 48 dollar and then preorder this instead of taking the risk and try to exchange my sealed uncharted with acII when iot coem out on best buy since I get uncharted II as full price game on BB buy2get 1 free deal.

Damn, I almost wish I didn't see this deal...almost.
I currently have a $12 credit in my account, coupled with the $5 off coupon, and my ECA discount...it comes to a total of $33.39! And it comes with another $10 credit! That means I would have $40 from the buy $80 promo, $20 from PO'ing MW2, and another $10 from this. Should I bite? I haven't been reading much about AC2. Is it supposed to be better than the first? Of which I thought was pretty good. I would wait until I get my $40 code to use for this, but I don't want to take the chance of losing the $5 coupon and $10 credit this currently has. |

Need help guys!
If I use my $12 Amazon credit that's in my Amazon account to pre-order a game. But then cancel that game immediately (within minutes after placing the order), will that $12 credit return into my account or is it lost forever? Reason I ask is because I just received my $40 code for the Buy $80 promo...and I have $12 in my account currently. The only game I want to pre-order is AC2 right now. But I rather just use the $40. If I use both I can get the game for free sure, but I will lose $6 left over credit as the $40 promo credit states you can only use it once...and if you don't use it all you lose the left over fund. Hence my question above. I want to use the $12 really quick on another pre-order as a holder. Then pre-order AC2 with the $40. Then cancel the other pre-order to regain my $12, if that's even possible. Thanks! |

^I'm not sure why you would go to all that trouble. AC2 is $51 (after code) and what I gather is that you have an ECA code which takes it down to $46, is that correct?
So you place a preorder for AC2 at $46 - $40 (promo code) = $6 (which since you have credit will be subtracted from that). Therefore, AC2 = $0 and your gift card balance = $6. |

If that's how it works, then awesome. I was just wondering if it would use up my account credit first, and then the $40...which would blow if that was/is the case. Trust me...I wouldn't put it beyond Amazon's system. Thanks for the help man! |

Damn this is tempting, but Gamestop has the exclusive content on their pre-order version. Can't decide on which to get? I heard the maps on the Gamestop version is equivalent to $20 DLC? Is this true?

So I finally got my email for the $40 promo code. Used that with the $5 coupon here, coupled with ECA for a grand total of $5.39!
Now...I still have $12, plus the $10 that comes with this game, and the $20 I'll get for MW2. That $42 credit will come in handy I'm sure for Black Friday. Good things...good things. |

I have a 360 and a ps3. I'm trying to decide which system to buy the game for. Is there any difference in features or anything i should know about when considering one against the other or does it simply come down to a matter of preference and they are essentially the exact same game

Not any content differences on this one I think. The original ran better on the 360, from what I remember, hands down, as do most older multi-platform games. These days a lot of games are pretty even, usually missing a little of anti-aliasing, and a bit more framerate drops/screen tears in the ps3 version. The "graphically better" might be on 360, but by a tiny amount. Some games are the opposite, but that's more rare.
In most cases, get multi-player games for the console you have more friends, get single player games for the controller you like better. You do have rare cases like batman, the usual minor ps3 graphical problems BUT more content(joker) or other ones like ghostbusters or the upcoming bayonetta which look and run worse on the ps3 by a noticeable amount. |

Ubisoft, I believe, are of few developers that now develop on the PS3 first, as their main SKU then port to the 360...EA does this as well. The results are that both titles are very close to each other if not the same in looks and performance.
In layman's terms, it's a lot easier to have these results when coding on the PS3 architecture, then porting to 360, rather than the other way around. Reason being are the 360's 3 general purpose CPU's are easier to take advantage of and less time consuming than the PS3's SPU's. Other aspects include differences in GPU's, more user friendly Visual Studio.NET for 360, and ease of memory allocation techniques. It's not that the 360 is more powerful than the PS3...on paper at least. It's just that devs are conditioned and more accustomed to the 360's hardware and tools...while the PS3's are a bit more eccentric. So yeah, in short, because Ubisoft uses the technique mentioned above...both should be so similar to each other, a person will really have to scrutinize the differences in minute detail, to tell them apart. Go with whichever your gut tells you...either way...you'll be fine. Hope this helps. |

The reason that I chose the PS3 version in this case was that word is there will be unlockable items in the game which can only be obtained by linking it to the upcoming PSP game Assassin's Creed Bloodlines. I would assume that makes them PS3 exclusive. So if you have a PSP and are thinking that you might get that game as well, that might be a factor to consider.
