We seriously need to organize a Black Friday squad. I know we have many employees at many retailers here that can get some good deals. I could help with anyone that wanted anything from Game Crazy (assuming the company's still around by then, lol), there's got to be some people working at retail stores that can help as well.

Not necessarily "Black Friday" per se, but for the last two years from the Day After Thanksgiving until about a week before Christmas, Best Buy has sold all of its HBO DVDs for 50% off. I bought The Wire Complete Series last year for about $80.

This year I am hoping they do the same so I can get The Sopranos Complete Series.

FYE will have all WWE DVDs at half price on Black Friday. This includes boxsets like the Wrestlemania & Summerslam Anthologies and Volumes if the store has them.

If I see any Best Buy deals from leaked ads, I would go there before black friday, buy them, and just go back on Black Friday sometime to CS and price match. Do any of you do the same?

I'm kind of itching for the DD25% thing before thanksgiving too. I always have a hard time deciding what to get because of hoping for better deals later though. I ordered a dozen or so BDs from Amazon last year, but I was disappointed with a lot of their deals because of the selection. They had that one offer going where you saved a ton if you bought like 10 BDs, but none of them were what I wanted. It was mostly Bond movies, and I'm still pissed Goldeneye hasn't gone Blu. I'd be interested to know which Bond movie has sold more over the years. I doubt there was any logical reason for them to ignore Goldeneye in favor of some of the others that were released.

I also spent a lot on WWE DVDs last year (Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble sets). I guess I don't have to worry too much about that this year. I can't believe there's still no Survivor Series set to be had. I won't be shopping at iNetVideo this year either. I don't care how good their deals are as long as they refuse to offer shipping options. I don't do Media Mail. First Class+ or GTFO!

Wal-Mart has every year in recent memory and even advertise that they "Even match the big sales!"

Walmart may because they said they would, and were (and generally are), very aggressive with their pricing. However many stores traditionally have not and state so in their policy. Last year, 2 of my BB stores just laughed and said "Sorry we don't price match on BF". It's anyone's guess whether, given the economy and cut-throat pricing, the stores will bend the rules-I'd say just try it, and maybe you'll let lucky-it can't hurt!

For the past 2 or 3 years, I've done all my BF shopping online usually as early as the night before. I think last year Amazon matched most of the good media sales. I used to anticipate getting up early and shopping, and then getting everything the night before - now I have no plans of getting up, I am positive I'll get what I want online.

BB won't price match on BF. They have it in their ads now I think saying that they won't match those prices. I think it's standard that they have it in there all year now.

Yeah I hate I jumped on it the week it came out but I saw it on Amazon within the last couple of weeks for $17.99.

I wonder what other Blu rays Kmart will have for $8.99 might not get over towards one that day.

Is it off MSRP or their regular price? I also hope it's available online...

I expect plenty of $5 Blu-rays, and possibly some $15 brand new offers (Star Trek, Harry Potter, etc.).

The only thing I may consider this year is a Blu-Ray DVD player. Especially that Panasonic DMP-BD60 that I hear so much about (it's $137 now). Are those blu-ray players usually on sale on Black Friday?

Other than that, not sure what else I'm looking forward to other than to get some DVDs I don't have.
