I'll take A.
If by 'quality' you mean name brand, then go ahead and pay for the name brand stuff. I'll keep buying the cheaper alternatives. For what little bit I use my tv(s) and/or stereos I'll stick with the non name brands if they're cheaper and still do the same thing.

That's the thing though. I don't need or want a huge tv. I don't have the room for it. Plus, I don't wanna pay over $200 for a 20-26"(the size I only need/want) tv and I don't see prices on LCD/Plasma tvs going that cheap for a long, long time. So I'll stick to the few stores that still sell SDtv's and go with whatever brand they have.

I use my tv for the sake of watching it, not going oooo and ahhh over a 'better' picture.

No offense meant to those who have upgraded, but I have better things to spend $600-700 on than something I'm using 10% of the time.

I do believe a user name change is in order. If you only use your tv 10% of the time you must not be a gamer, although maybe you jam away on your original gameboy. BTW, find a taker on demon's soul yet?

I haven't found a taker on Demon's Souls as of yet, but I'm hopeful that'll change soon. I'm actually taking it and a bunch of other games to a couple local shops this afternoon to see what they'll offer before I consider trading them into Toys R'Us, which is offering $30 in credit for DS.

As for changing my name on here, that's the 10% of the time I typically use my tv(s) is when I'm gaming and maybe an hour or two here or there for certain programs. Otherwise, even having a tv for me is kind of a waste right now.

It's about as asinine as saying anyone who pays over $5 for headphones is insane, but I get your point. I figured you spent a decent amount of time using your television, seeing as how you're a pretty frequent poster on a website about videogames.

I personally have no problem spending a little extra for a nicer T.V. or headphones because I'm going to be using them every day. If you don't listen to music or use your T.V. that much though, then I see your point.

And on a final note, if you know where to look, you can usually find Blu-Rays for as cheap as (or even cheaper than) their Blu-Ray counterparts

I agree with the price:performance business because I'm not buying a 13432474MHz TV with 198458457p when I can hardly even tell the difference between 720 andp 1080i, let alone 1080p. However while buying expensive doesn't guarantee quality, you buy cheap and you get cheap. Seriously.

With how little I watch movies at home nowadays, I'd rather not even bother buying a home version and just wait till it comes on free tv.

As to the 'buying quality to get quality' thing, again with someone like me who uses their tv so sparingly it makes no sense to pay $1000 for a tv.

But again, to each their own, sorry if I offended by being blunt and redundant like I usually am.

Well that's what I mean. I have the most basic of cable, I have only SDTVs, and use RF modulators. That's because TV is only background noise for me.

However, I bought a top of the line desktop because I spent a lot of my time on it doing various tasks. $700 was nothing for just a tower to me because of how much of a difference it makes in my life.

Price:Performance
Price:Worth
